Sometimes being quiet doesn't mean you're standing still.

I've been running a company. Raising a family. Serving on boards. Showing up for my community. Building relationships. Creating experiences. And navigating all of the beautiful complexity that comes with having a very full life.

And somewhere in between being a CEO, a wife, a mom — including mom to a very busy toddler 😊 — and carrying more than a few other titles, I've been evolving too.

I haven't posted here in a while, but the work hasn't stopped.

So, no big announcement today. Just a new headshot and a little reminder that there are seasons for sharing…and seasons for building.

Yesterday, I had the honor of being sworn in to serve on the Longwood University Board of Visitors.

The most meaningful part of the day wasn't the appointment itself. It was having my mother and both of my sons there to witness it.

I asked my oldest son to hold the Bible as I took the oath because I wanted him to see what service, leadership, and responsibility look like in action. Throughout my career, he has had a front-row seat to my journey, and I hope moments like this remind him that leadership is about serving something greater than yourself.

As I begin this new chapter in higher education governance, I do so with gratitude and a commitment to the students and communities we serve.

Some lessons are taught. Others are witnessed.

Honored to share that I’ve been appointed by the Governor of Virginia to serve on the Board of Visitors for Longwood University.

A Board of Visitors serves as the governing body of a public university, similar to a Board of Trustees, providing strategic oversight and long term direction.
This opportunity allows me to contribute at the intersection of leadership, governance, and impact.

I’m truly grateful and look forward to helping shape the future of the institution while creating meaningful, lasting impact for its students. ✨
