It’s been a little quiet over here lately at Love, Lomax Studios and that’s because there have been a lot of life changes happening over the last several months 🤭

The first big change happened in June when I went back to nursing! I decided to take a on a full-time RN job at the hospital which has kept me quite busy 🏥

Then, we found out my husband will be commissioning as an officer which means we may be moving away from the DC area. While we are so thrilled for his accomplishment, it sadly means I have had to pause all of my bookings since we have no idea where we may be moving to ⏸️😥

And then in August, we found out we were expecting! After almost a year of trying for a little one, we finally got our happy news! 💙 Our little boy is expected to join us in May 2026 💙😍

This photography journey has been truly so fun and amazing—I can’t express how much I have loved capturing beautiful and unforgettable moments for so many amazing couples over the last few years 🥹

With our upcoming (potential) move and arrival of our little boy this spring, I have decided that I will be closing the books permanently for Love, Lomax Studios after this year’s wedding season. One day I may return to capturing precious moments but for now, it is time to focus on my growing family and our future 💛💛

To all who have shown their support over the years, THANK YOU!! It is still so mind blowing to think about the wonderful memories and incredible people I’ve gotten to meet + serve while pursuing my passion to capture beautiful moments 💛 I hope one day to come back and capture moments all over again but for now, I will be stepping into this new chapter of life with open arms and excitement 🥰🥰 Cheers to each and everyone one of my amazing clients + friendors I’ve met along the way!! 🥂

✨Life has been a little crazy the last week, especially since we are packing up our apartment to move for the 2nd time in 8 months 🤪 My hubby and I are very excited to be heading back to Arlington but honestly—packing is exhausting and I’m over it 😂

So as I sit here and take a break, I thought I’d share some magical fall moments from J+S’s engagement shoot last year! I know that spring is spring-ing right now but man, I will always be a sucker for some good fall foliage 🥰🍂🍁 Especially when capturing the beauty of another love story amidst the colors!

I am dreaming of J+S’s wedding this coming fall but for now, I’ll reminisce on their gorgeous engagement session 🥰✨🫶🏻

✨This extra hour of sunlight is making me dream of summer already (sorry spring—I love you too!), so it seems fitting to share C+M’s beautiful beach wedding at 🌊☀️

Their day was filled with so much love, laughter, and fun! The tropical vibes fit so perfectly with their beachfront venue, and I’d be lying if I said it didn’t make my soul happy to be near the sand + water too 🥰🫶🏻

✨ Looking back on R+C’s beautiful DC courthouse elopement fills me with so much joy—especially since they brought their adorable pup along for the fun! 🐶🐾

There’s something so special about witnessing a couple say “I do,” then running around the city to capture the magic of their first moments as husband and wife. Such a perfect way to celebrate the start of their next chapter! 🥰✨
