Venetian Gardens updated their information in their About section.
I am a floral designer, creator, magician, engineer, and Jedi, with over 40 years of experience, dating back to high school in Dallas Texas.
In the course of those years I have worked in the Dallas Texas area, Mount Pleasant, SC; Wake Forest and Raleigh NC; and Marco Island FL. I earned an associate degree in horticulture and am a Clemson Master Gardener. have recently relocated back to my home state. I believe flowers feed the soul. People love receiving flowers. You can't help but smile and think, wow, someone is thinking of me. It gives me so much joy when someone tells me, you must love what you do, because it shows in your work.

Creativity still feeds my soul.
There is much truth in this information!
It's science!
My stephanotis vine is in full bloom. A popular flower for weddings, its on the premium price side, but its beauty and fragrance are well worth. Wish it would bloom on command.
Close up of the texture and unusual flowers!
I had my first "event" over the weekend! Mexican themed party on the deck at the club in our neighborhood. Lime lined 6 inch bubble vases, with hot pink and orange blooms! Table linens would be white with colorful sarape runners. Building a great relationship with the food and beverage director, and chef! Come on #summernights !
Thank you to everyone who "likes" and "follows" me!! I have appreciated all the support and encouragement over the years! I hope you continue to be faithful as I start anew in the next few months. My husband, Stephen, and I have moved back to our home state of Texas! He had a job opportunity and the chance to move back near the majority of our family was irresistible! We haven't moved into our house yet, but we will be living in Rockwall, east of Dallas! My love of floral design is unchanged, and I am looking forward to what's ahead! I will keep you posted!! Thank you again!!
This man was my idol, and I am so thankful I was able to meet and learn from him. The floral design world lost an advocate, a talented designer, and a wonderful human being.

The real crisis of the COVID19 pandemic and the incredibly debilitating effects it has had on flower shops and small business owners across the world is devastating! This is all the more reason to support local floral business owners. Small businesses are so critical to the prosperity of your local....
This is an honest, real article by one of the biggest wholesale florists in the USA. The impact of florists in some states being deemed "non essential " may devastate many of them, who may have been in business for generations. In NC, as we can shut our showroom, receive orders online or over the phone and offer no contact, gloved delivery, we can continue to deliver, thankfully. Our design area has us 6 feet apart, we all have multiple bottles of sanitizing spray, alcohol wipes, hand sanitizer, gloves, masks, you name it! Please, support your local florist. God willing, we will come through this and be celebrating summer, fall and winter still surrounded by our beautiful flowers.
Help us get this letter out and spread the story of the flower industry and the potentially devastating impacts of COVID-19. #unitedthruflowers
Now THIS is a one of kind bouquet!
As many of you know, I work full time at The English Garden florist in Raleigh. Some of the lovely bouquets I have been lucky enough to create over the last couple of months!

I almost want to adopt it, give it a a name and take it home!! It's almost 5 feet tall!
Historic venue, perfect weather, a day filled with love!
Before and after photos of a "yule log" bouquet. Didn't have a hollowed out log, so I got creative! 2 Oasis brand wooden bases covered in river birch bark. Success!!
Sometimes you get an out of the box bride who wants texture and unusual colors! Honored to create this at The English Garden Florist of Raleigh a few weeks ago! #feedingmysoul #bridalbouquet #cymbidiumorchid #tllandsia #succulent #wedding #pinkminkprotea
My beloved Aunt Marilyn passed away in Maryland last week. I designed coordinating arrangements for her visitation and Celebration of Life. She loved purple and was always so proud and supportive of my work. My thanks to Potomac Wholesale and David Powers for the spectacular product.
The shop where I design does flowers for every summer concert in the VIP area at a venue in Raleigh NC. Our choice of flowers, etc. Recently Kid Rock was here, and requested flowers in his dressing room. I created these pairs. Love the textures! And a male artist wanting flowers, priceless! We did an all white bouquet for Janet Jackson ,too!
The design force is strong with this one! Flower fun with my granddaughter! She may have the touch!
Cleaning up last night after the North Carolina State Florists Association gala dinner! I am always happy with an armful of flowers! One more day of designshows with some of the best people!
A little fun for a ring bearer last weekend at The English Garden Florist of Raleigh.
I have always loved the language of flowers, and I have multiple books on the subject!

Sharing the joy and love of their day!
St Joseph's Hospice's residents were "thrilled" to receive the flowers from the Windsor chapel.
I have been remiss in posting! I am working at @theenglishgardenraleigh pretty regularly. Yesterday I made this tow truck casket cover. The recipient owned the company and drove a red wrecker! Gene did a great job sculpting the foam, and I filled it in! We LOVE the result!
Just an FYI. I have been aware of this for a long time, and do my best to share the info. As with many plant products, ingesting large amounts is never good. Poinsettias are a euphoria, hence the milky sap which can be an irritant, that is in the stems. Use caution around kids and pets! Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays!
It’s that time of year: Get ready to remind consumers that university research has proven that poinsettias are not poisonous to people and their pe...
