We are so proud of Leonardo, Miguel, and Allan for representing SJMS at the MISD Concerto Competition last night! They each had very successful, confident, and musical performances. We love having such talented musicians in our band program!

Congratulations to all of these students who earned the distinction of "Outstanding Musician" at our Solo Contest! These students were selected by the judges for going above and beyond in preparation for this event.

An extra congratulations are in order for Miguel Mata, Allan Leon, and Leonardo Vazquez for being selected to represent SJMS in the McKinney ISD Middle School Concerto Competition! They will perform this upcoming Monday in the Competition.

Now that all 3 of our bands have completed their Festival performances, we are excited to share that all 3 bands earned a "Superior" rating at their Festivals! The two yellow trophies represent the 1st Division rating that our Beginner Band and Symphonic Band earned at the MISD Festival on April 25th. The red trophy represents the 1st Division rating, as well as several "Best in Class" awards, that the Wind Ensemble earned yesterday at the Peak Festival. We are so proud of all of our students!!

We are thrilled to offer the MISD Band Camp, an exciting week of music, team building, and fun! This camp is available exclusively for current 6th and 7th grade MISD band students.

📅 Dates: May 27th – May 31st
⏰ Camp Hours: 12:00 PM – 4:30 PM (Monday – Friday)
⏰ Saturday Schedule: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (optional trip to Hawaiian Waters in The Colony afterward!)

🎵 What to Expect:
✅ Instrument-specific masterclasses
✅ Small & large ensembles
✅ Full band rehearsals
✅ Team-building games & activities
✅ A band camp T-shirt & daily meals!
