One of the most overlooked but stunning wedding details? Your flatlay photos! These artful shots capture your invitation suite, rings, vow books, heirlooms, and all those pretty paper details you spent months picking out.

💍 What is a flatlay?
A flatlay is a styled photo taken from above. For weddings, it’s a beautiful way to tell the story of your day through curated details — think invitations, jewelry, perfume, shoes, florals, and sentimental touches.

🌿 Why do they matter?
Flatlays freeze the small moments that often get forgotten — your grandmother’s handkerchief, your custom wax seal, that velvet ring box. These photos become timeless keepsakes that feel just as special as your portraits.

📌 How to prep for flatlays:
✨ Gather all your paper goods — 2 full invitation suites if possible
✨ Include extras: stamps, ribbon, ring boxes, heirlooms
✨ Have fresh flowers or loose petals for your photographer to style with
✨ Keep everything in one box and hand it to your photographer early

Ask your planner or photographer if they have styling boards or props — they often do!

Today we get to celebrate Mattie & Mookie — two sweet souls who moved to Colorado Springs together and have planned every detail of this day from afar.

They’ve poured so much heart into making it personal — with one pastor from each of their hometown churches officiating parts of their ceremony, tying their roots together in the most meaningful way.

Planning with Mattie and her mom has been such a gift — their mother-daughter bond is truly something special. From late-night planning chats to even celebrating the bachelorette together, they’ve made every moment an adventure!

And tonight? We’re dusting off our boots and hitting the dance floor to the best ‘90s country jams, thanks to an amazing two-step band all the way from Austin.

Cheers to a day full of faith, family, two-stepping, and so much love. Let’s get these two married! 🥂🤍
