One of the most unique wedding venues in northern Illinois 🤍

I recently revisited the Starline Factory and toured the entire space to see what’s new.

From exposed brick and tall windows to multiple ceremony and reception options, this venue has so much character built in.

If you’re looking for something a little different, this one is definitely worth exploring.

Throwback Thursday

A look back at a wedding I coordinated at the Starline Factory in Harvard, IL 🤍

This venue has so much character built in — exposed brick, beautiful light, and spaces that flow so naturally from one part of the day to the next.

What I loved most about this wedding was how the couple truly embraced the space. They kept things simple and meaningful, letting the venue do what it does best.

It created such a relaxed, genuine feel for everyone there.

If you’re considering an industrial wedding venue, here are three things couples should always think about before booking.

1. Lighting – Historic buildings often have beautiful natural light but may need additional evening lighting.

2. Space flow – Make sure ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception spaces transition smoothly for guests.

3. Character vs. décor – One of the best parts of industrial venues is that they already have personality. Exposed brick, tall windows, and original architecture can reduce the need for extra décor.

I was recently able to revisit the Starline Factory in Harvard and explore the venue more in depth. It’s a perfect example of a historic industrial venue with incredible character.

🌷 Let’s Connect - I’ve always been someone who likes to take charge and get things done.

My dad had a painting business when I was growing up, and here I am helping out at a pretty young age. 🎨

These days… not much has changed.

Just last Friday I had the sweetest evening with a bride, her future mother in law, and her bridesmaids after they found the dress.

When they arrived, these little bridesmaid proposal flowers and boxes were waiting for them. Each box included a delicate scarf, hand sewn personalized lavender sachets, and a mini bottle of champagne to celebrate the moment. 🥂

We spent time talking about their plans, their hopes for the wedding day, and how I can help bring it all together.

Moments like these are such a special part of the planning journey.
