The photographer became the subject. 🤎

Every portrait I create begins with light.

I’m drawn to portraits that feel rich, timeless, warm and intentional—beautiful skin tones, subtle shadows, elegant styling, and just enough drama to make an image feel like more than a photograph.

And I’m not afraid to experiment to get there.

I was testing a lighting technique in the studio and decided there was only one fair way to do it…

I got in front of my own camera. 😏

If I’m going to ask my clients to trust me with lighting, posing and all the little adjustments that happen during a portrait session, I’m perfectly willing to test those ideas on myself first.

Some experiments work. Some don’t.
But that’s part of becoming better at your craft.

My style isn’t about chasing what’s trendy. I’m creating portraits that feel polished and elevated today—and will still feel beautiful hanging on your wall years from now.

So yes… sometimes the photographer has to become the guinea pig. 😂

Six months is such a sweet spot. 🤍

Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be worth remembering.

The house may be messy. The laundry may be waiting. Baby may have skipped a nap, spit up on the outfit you carefully picked, or decided that your perfectly planned schedule simply doesn’t apply to them. 😅

Come anyway.

At six months, there’s so much personality beginning to shine through—the big eyes, gummy smiles, little expressions, curiosity, and those delicious baby rolls that won’t be here forever.

You don’t need the perfect moment.

This is the moment.

Six months is one of my favorite ages to photograph because your baby is changing right before your eyes. Let’s preserve who they are right now—not when everything is perfect.

Because someday, this little face will be one of the things you miss most. 🤍

And somehow, between the sleepless nights, diaper changes, bottles and figuring-it-all-out-as-you-go… this became your life.

These are the days that feel long while you’re living them—and disappear way too fast once they’re gone.

You don’t need perfect outfits.
You don’t need a perfectly behaved baby.
You don’t even need to know what to do in front of the camera.

Just bring your people. I’ll take care of the rest. 🤎

Because one day, that tiny baby in the middle is going to want to see what love looked like at the very beginning.

Before you meet them, there was this version of you. 🖤

The woman waiting.
The woman changing.
The woman becoming.

Pregnancy is such a short chapter in the story of motherhood—and sometimes we don’t realize just how beautiful this season was until it has already passed.

That’s why I believe your maternity portraits should be more than photographs of your growing belly.

They should capture you.

Your beauty.
Your strength.
Your anticipation.
The woman you were just before everything changed.

My maternity portrait style is intentionally simple, elegant and timeless—because years from now, I want you to look at your portraits and still love what you see.

When was the last time you were actually in the family pictures—not taking them?

Not a selfie.

Not a quick phone picture.

Not standing in the background worrying about how you look.

A beautiful portrait with the people who call you Mom.

We’re so good at documenting everyone else that sometimes we forget that we are part of the story too.

So on this Sunday morning, I want to know:
