Our Start...

Welcome to Sacandaga Flowers!! I started in this profession over 15 years ago. Most children play house & grocery store growing up. I also wanted to be “The Flower Lady”. At a very young age I loved helping my Grandfather in his garden, whether it be planting, weeding or picking what had grown. When I got my very first job I started in the floral department, from there I went to school and got my certifications to practice this amazing talent. I then had privileges to work several Floral shops. I knew one day I WOULD have my OWN! There is nothing more rewarding than showing your children if you have a dream work for it, one day IT WILL COME TRUE!

There’s not one day at the shop that is ever the same. Every customer is unique, and each floral request is a reflection of that person. You learn about a person through flowers. Some more bold and stand out, while others are subtle and elegant. I would say “I love my job”, but a job is described as a task or work. If you do what you love, you’ll never work another day in your life. I look forward to what each day brings when I unlock the door and flip the Open sign on. Seeing the look or expression on my customers face is enough.
