HI 🤗 My name is Michaela, and I am passionate about two things in this life: creating a good plan and connecting with amazing people. Coordinating weddings brings these two things together, and I truly feel in a flow state when I’m running a wedding✨

I’m trying to stay open-minded and embrace any and every opportunity that comes my way. I had so much fun helping with this gorgeous couple’s day. They had such a beautiful ceremony, which transitioned into the most bumpin’ 🍾reception, and ended with late-night tacos 🌮 From start to finish it was utter perfection, and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to enter the wedding-coordination scene!

Wedding Tip #1️⃣: Parents ≠ Wedding Planners

The reasons I’m passionate about this business are pictured in this photo.

As a COVID bride, it was hard to commit money to things that could end up changing in a flash. That meant my parents and I (along with other family and friends) took on the bulk of responsibilities for my wedding. The morning of, my dad was hauling huge coolers with ice inside the venue as my mom was rushing to make finishing touches to center pieces.

While I don’t *think* my parents have regrets (they love executing a plan just like I do!), I sometimes wonder how much more enjoyable the day could have been if they had gotten to relax and be present without all the extra responsibility.

Your family and friends deserve to have only ONE job on your wedding day: to celebrate YOU and your partner. Therefore, it’s my goal to take on the behind-the-scenes tasks so your guests can focus on what matters most 🤍

Hello! My name is Michaela West, and I am so excited to be writing this post. It’s a dream to introduce myself to this space as a wedding planner/coordinator, and I hope the tidbits below provide some insight into my style and personality.

*I married my husband, Josh, in November of 2020. Planning our wedding in the height of COVID was my first taste of the wild ride that is event planning/coordinating, and I’ve been hooked ever since!

* We just became parents to our daughter, Sophie, and we couldn’t be more in love. Our spunky, black cat, Angus, is Sophie’s perfect side kick and together is my favorite place to be🤍

* For any Enneagram folks out there, I’m a 1w2 which means I’m Type-A with a service heart. Planning is truly FUN for me - it’s the one activity where I consistently find flow and feel energized!
