Some highlights from the baby shower this weekend. Just want to say a huge thanks to Rachel Butler, Audrey Haydu and Dwayne Lester for taking care of everything while I was away, on bereavement. I'm so grateful to have a team dedicated to the success of Nana's Blue Greenhouse. Feeling the love.

Community Supported Agriculture 🌿
Every bouquet we send out through our CSA feels like a love letter to the season. These are just a few of the arrangements headed out for tomorrow’s deliveries, with a few more still waiting to be gathered for the weekend — and we’re feeling especially grateful tonight for every person who chose to support our farm in this way.

One of the sweetest parts of spring is watching all the textures and colors begin to overlap again. The delicate blooms, the wild movement, the fresh greens we wait all winter to see return. Every stem in these arrangements was grown with intention, harvested by hand, and thoughtfully placed one flower at a time.

I loved slowing down enough to photograph each ingredient as these bouquets came together because every flower deserves its moment. Together, they tell the story of this season far better than we ever could.

Thank you for supporting local flowers, local farming, and the beauty of growing with the seasons. We truly could not do this without you 🤍

The garden is waking up in all the right ways

Our baptisia is buzzing with life lately, drawing in some truly beautiful visitors — including what looks to be a queen bumblebee and a Spicebush Swallowtail. That oversized bumblebee out this early in the season is likely a future colony founder, gathering strength and scouting a place to begin the next generation. Tiny moments like that remind us how important native plants really are.

When we grow native flowers, we are building more than a pretty garden. We are creating shelter, food, and safe stopping places for pollinators, butterflies, bees, and all the little pieces that make up a thriving ecosystem.

Every bloom has a purpose. Every visitor tells a story.

There’s something quietly magical about opening a press that’s been resting for weeks

Layer by layer—paper towel, cedar, time, and patience—these blooms have been slowly transforming. Tucked inside our 12x12 wooden press, wrapped tight and left undisturbed for nearly three weeks… and now, finally, we get to see what they’ve become.

Unpacking is part treasure hunt, part deep breath.

Repacking is where the rhythm starts again.

We’re officially back in our pressed flower era—restocking, refreshing, and getting ready to turn these preserved pieces of the season into art that lasts far beyond the bloom.

This is one of the many ways we hold onto the garden a little longer

The peony patch is waking up in the most beautiful way ✨
120 plants, each pushing up five or more shoots… we’re looking at hundreds of blooms this season, and we can hardly wait.

For years, our peonies have been spoken for—tucked into weddings and special moments—but this is the first season our patch feels full enough to share more widely. And that means something really special… peonies in our everyday bouquets and arrangements, heading out to our favorite vendors and into your hands.

We’re just a few short weeks away from bloom, and if you know peonies, you know—their season is fleeting. By the time those petals begin to open, they’re often already spoken for.

So we’re opening up orders now 🤍
If peonies are on your wishlist this season, this is your moment to claim them. DM us!

There’s nothing quite like the first handful of blooms to remind us the season is waking up 🌷

We’re so excited to share these early flowers with a few of our favorite vendors—little previews of what’s just around the corner. In just a few short weeks, the fields will be in full swing, and we’ll be delivering fresh flowers week after week all the way through fall.
As our perennials stretch awake and our new plugs start to bloom, we can feel the rhythm of the season returning—and we truly can’t wait to share it with you.

stop by any of these locations and don't miss out on this weekend's bouquets!

A little behind the scenes of how our flower farm starts!

We spend a lot of time sorting our seeds into the weeks that we need to seed them, getting the grow room ready, cleaning & sanitizing trays and making our seeds starting soils...And then the fun comes.

We get to start planting the seeds and watching them grow. There's nothing more exciting to us than to plant a seed. The size of a grain of sand and watch it grow into a absolutely gorgeous plant before the end of the summer.

Through the video I show just a couple of trays that we have seeded. But what the video doesn't show is how long it actually takes, if only it took 30 seconds! And how many trays we've already started.

We are ramping up to grow more flowers than we have ever grown before, And this is just one of the methods of how we start seeds. I will be showing you more behind the scenes of other ways that we recycle and reuse containers to grow our flowers. If you have any questions feel free to reach out. We love to help!

✨ Big, happy news from the farm ✨
We are so excited to officially welcome Kate and Audrey to the Nana’s Blue Greenhouse family 💙

🌿 Kate- is stepping into the role of organizer + communicator extraordinaire. A longtime friend (and former H&M teammate!), she brings incredible management skills and a calm, thoughtful approach to keeping us all on track. You’ll likely be hearing from Kate via email or DMs—she’ll be organizing our calendar, responding to inquiries, and making sure the right information gets to the right people. We couldn’t be more grateful to have her behind the scenes keeping everything flowing smoothly.
🌿 Audrey—our neighbor, our flower-growing hero, and one of the kindest humans we know—is taking on a bigger role here on the farm. She’s been supplying us with stunning fillers and the most beautiful greens for years, and now she’ll also be helping hands-on in the fields and potentially making deliveries. Anyone who’s ever had a big garden knows… weeding is basically a full-time job 😅 So now it’s me, Rachel, and Audrey—our official weeding trio.

We’ve been doing a lot of planning, and this season feels like a fresh start. With more support, we’re able to grow smarter, stronger, and more intentionally—making space for bigger projects, healthier plants, and an even better experience for our clients and community.
2026 is shaping up to be a big year, and we’re so excited to share what’s coming 🌸
