To our Parkway Place Clients and Community,
It is with great sadness that we formally announce the passing of our owner, George Zilba.
George passed away on Sunday, August 9th, surrounded by his family after a struggle with illness.
To work for George was to be held to a higher standard, be ready for the next “big idea,” and, most importantly, feel appreciated. He was a true entrepreneur and leader who was loved and respected by all who worked for him. He loved a good event and had even higher expectations when it came to the food. To hear George say, “Good job,” meant that it was truly earned—and appreciated.
George built and ran Parkway Place for the last 20 years. Beginning construction in 2006 and opening our doors in 2007, his vision for the building—from its aesthetics to its logistics—was thoughtful and intentional. That vision can still be seen and appreciated throughout Parkway Place today.
As we prepare to celebrate our 20th year in business, it hardly seems possible that George won’t be here to join us in the celebration. His legacy is woven into Parkway Place, and we are grateful for the many years, memories, and opportunities he created for all of us.
Rest in peace, George. You will be deeply missed.
With Love,
Your Parkway Place Employees
