Just as a little reminder: Monday–Wednesday are my days off. I know, weird, but one of the perks of running a business should definitely be setting your own schedule. I practically work 24/7 Thursday–Sunday between sessions, weddings, emails, editing, and everything else that comes with running a business.

I need those few days to catch up on editing, take a step back, run errands, spend time with family, and honestly just to give my brain a break. There’s a very real chance my phone is in another room, or turned off entirely during those days.

I hate setting boundaries (and am still very much working on it as a recovering people pleaser), but this is one I’ve really been trying to take seriously over the past year. I love what I do and I love being available for my clients, but I also know that if I never step away, burnout is inevitable.

So please don’t panic if I don’t respond right away Monday–Wednesday. I’ll get back to you! And if you message me Thursday–Sunday and I haven’t responded, please feel free to shoot me another message. Those days can get a little chaotic, and sometimes things genuinely get buried or missed.

Thank you guys for being understanding and for allowing me the space to be a human and run a business at the same time.🖤

When I was editing these, I really thought to myself, “Wow…how lucky is Izzy that THESE are her senior photos?” 🥹

For someone who struggles with imposter syndrome on the daily, moments like this mean more to me than I can really put into words. There are so many times I look at my own work and wonder if I’m actually any good at this. Then I get a gallery like this in front of me and I get to step back and realize…I really did that.

Izzy absolutely crushed her session, but she also reminded me why I love what I do so much. Getting to create images that someone will look back on years from now and still feel beautiful, confident, and completely themselves in? That’s the good stuff.

So yeah, maybe I’ll keep fighting the imposter syndrome a little longer.❤
