It’s been a busy couple of months with proms, weddings, graduations and corporate catering events in addition to our busy daily takeout operation it’s crazy to know that we are approaching the tail end of the month of June.
A lot of folks ask me why the store gets closed when catering is busy. My reply to this is we focus on our commitments and our promises to the clients that entrusted us with their special events, weddings or whatever event it may be that has always been my mantra taking discern to the promises made and promises kept. If you know me you know that I am a perfectionist I want it perfect, because that is what each client deserves in a transaction large or small and moreover, it truly has become more and more at a loss at some organizations. Even in the midst of long days or the chaos of putting all the pieces to each days puzzle together always be thankful for those on the other side that see and recognize what our team does daily and knowing that we do it the right way only.
We catered a wedding recently and the couple had no one to line them up down the aisle. They had no limo and none of the typical formalities as they had very limited help from their own families, but at end of that event that groom awaited a team manager shuffling thru his wallet for money as a gratitude. This staff member told the groom to go enjoy himself rather than take him up on his kind offer. We knew he had been a nervous wreck all day and as much as we were not paid to do all the extras, that’s what makes us who we are individually and collectively as a whole.
I want to thank everyone for trusting us with your events and catering we truly give up everything we have in us to make it jive for so many if only most knew what left these tiny quarters they would be in awe. As the weeks move forward we will continue to be actively busy each weekend but will be resuming to normalcy during takeout hours I know you all check that website and online ordering each morning just know that I’m appreciative and grateful for you all that do. We started this as sandwich crafters, then grocerers during Covid and deliveries and now all things food and service related. Never be sfraid of being adaptable even if it goes against the grain. Just know one thing we are here working hard and will continue to do so daily.
I am also actively looking for 1-2 more disciplined, eager, trustworthy kitchen team members to add to our roster. If you want to be apart of a small family owned and operated business please stop in and see me or email me at [email protected]
See you for your next sandwich or event!
Best,
Corey
