🔥 BIG weekend for DIG IN BBQ 🔥

But this one hits different…

This was the very first competition for my son, Aedan and he didn’t just show up… he showed out.

He handled his cook from trimming to turn ins!

And the results speak for themselves:
🏆 3rd Place Chicken
🏆 3rd Place Pork Ribs
🏆 4th Place Brisket

And in his FIRST EVER competition…

🥈 RESERVE GRAND CHAMPION 🥈

Against a field full of seasoned adult cooks.

I couldn’t be more proud of this kid. The focus, the effort, the way he carried himself all weekend. He earned it! I love you son!

And yeah… he even beat me this time 😂I came in:
🥇 1st Chicken
10th Ribs
🥉 3rd Brisket
4th Overall

This is just the start for AEDAN… the bbq bug got him good! 🔥

This past Saturday we stayed close to home and cooked at the Smoking for Scholars cookoff, benefiting the Orange Grove Education Foundation. Always an awesome event and a great cause to support!

Big shoutout to the event crew and the IBCA staff for putting together a smooth and well-run competition.

Our results for the day:
