The Dallas Cowboys were mathematically eliminated on Saturday night when the Eagles took down the Commanders so headed into Sunday, The stress was taken off of the game itself but the defense still gave us the same fits. The Cowboys played well offensively early and the defense once again let us down in the second half. Dave Sturchio and Keith Ernst are back to break it down and figure out what they want to see for the final two weeks of the 2025 Dallas Cowboys season on this week's episode of "The Jersey Boyz Podcast"

As a promoter / producer you find ways to work with good companies and continue stories across brands. I truly think that’s the way it should be. That’s just one man’s opinion but when you’re able to carry stories from one brand to another it lets everyone eat and it gives recognition to those who also helped you in business. It’s good business everywhere.

LONG WRESTLING POST, READER BEWARE.. But Def give it a looksy..

I think the part I like the most about what we've done in a short amount of time as pro wrestling promoters is give opportunities to those who have EARNED them.

I think that's a lost art in this sport/business. A lot of the newer guys and girls coming up are EXPECTING things when they either "graduate" from a school or they get put over by bigger names within the industry.

Treat it like school. Right? Like, When you graduate college or high school, are you put on this "AUTO JOB" where you just get hired to work? No.. There's an application. There's a process where the business owner has to look at the criteria (In our case, The film and experience)

We've only had 4 shows going on 5 But every single person booked was hand picked by us. Not like, "Oh he's the flavor of the month" or "Oh he or she is viral so we HAVE to use them"

So for 2026 I encourage independent wrestlers who want to work for not just us, ANY Indy promotion.. Look at the following criteria I think that are REQUIRED to EARN a chance. In order.

1. Trained - What School, who trained them? What has THAT trainer done in the business. Too many people have tossed me names that I've LITERALLY never heard of as their trainer. I've basically heard of em all at this point lol. Go to a reputable school (CAP NY/NJ, Monster Factory, Cheeseburger, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, And anyone else who's MADE IT in the industry or at least have a decent reputation amongst their peers)

2. Look - Sorry guys. Cena had the Jorts covered. Kevin Owens has the cutoff sleeve thing work for him. That does NOT give you the Green light to say "Oh well if they can do it, I can too". Get REAL gear. INVEST in your look. What's that? You have no money? Go EARN money and pay for s**t. ( I sold my PS2, all my video games, all my video dvds and a few jerseys JUST to buy my first singlet and have it custom spray painted along with knee pads, elbow pads, and whatever else accessories I wanted to go along with my character)

3. Personality / Promo Skills -- Guys if you can't hold a microphone without peeing down your leg, I'm sorry, it ain't it. You know what's FREE? Looking in a mirror and talking to yourself. Practicing your character, your words, your verbiage, get to the point where it becomes effortless and you can then get in front of 10, 100, 1,000 people and cut the same promo for everyone. Get COMFORTABLE being UNCOMOFORTABLE.

4. Promotion abilities -- Show the promoter that you're willing to collab on posters or share it, or s**t even hang posters part of a street team. SHOW THE PROMOTER that you're invested in HIS company because then they'll invest in YOU. This isn't calling you a "Ticket pusher" -- Because Ill tell you right now, I took PRIDE in being the one guy on the PWS/WrestlePro roster that sold the most tickets because I made it seem like anything I was about to do, was HUGE!! Even had people make fun of my statuses saying "Let me guess, this is the biggest night of your life just like last time".. The answer.. YES.. YES It is.

5. Social Media Engagement-- It's lower on the list but we're in the age of digital media and socials. Also, be careful what you post. If I'm you, I'm avoiding hot button topics that have ZERO to do with wrestling. You want to talk politics? Go for it. But just know that if the promoter sees it and doesn't really care for your stance, you just lost a job. What's that? "I'm not going to change for nobody!" -- Nobody asked you to, guy. I'm simply giving advice because I KNOW there's promoters out there that would my #5 as #1. Why? I have no idea I just know it exists.

6. Be a good soldier -- Meaning, be coachable. Be able to work anywhere and against anyone. I've literally had people pull off "War On The Shore 2" because they realized they 1) Were not winning. Yes, that's a thing 2) They didn't like their spot on the card because they feared if they were somewhere in the middle they wouldn't be able to "get over" or 3) Didn't like their "spot" or opponent. We created a fckin RUMBLE where we gave the winner a TITLE, yet, when I sent out the "Script" to the group. They turned into Marsha Brady "Sorry, Something suddenly came up" lol. Instant "Never book again"

7. Don't rely on your "Followers" or LIKES. This is NOT going to come as breaking news but there are some VERY ATTRACTIVE people within the industry. Females in specific if I'm just being transparent. Don't RELY on that to get you these bookings man. I've run into some real attractive wrestlers (Female and Male) who "look the part" but can't work worth the s**ttttt. Just remember, you're NEVER above training because you're one of the chosen ones by God to bless you with a great figure or a pretty face. That's just being honest. I would NEVER book someone because "Oh, she's pretty, she'll get over with the crowd" -- EVER. I rather have someone with 3 eyes and 12 toes work a match that can run a spot over that ((Disclaimer: Please don't add a third eye or toes))

It's long winded but this is a passion of mine to not only book great shows but to build stories, relationships and expand the brand. If you haven't booked by us yet, it is NOT a personal dig. At all. There are 438548 people in my inbox. A lot of them sound like used car salesmen and have literally copied and pasted the same message to everyone and changed the name -- one guy forgot to change the name lol.

I want everyone to succeed. I want everyone to eat in 2026. Make your mark. EARN your spots and money and become a HUGE success. I'm rooting for you!! -- You can either consider these things OR tell me to Go F myself but I've been around this industry going on 14 years in 2026. Early in my career I've picked the brains of those I think/Thought had something to offer. Now, all these years later I STILL pick the brains of those who are successful and are good people. Not everyone you ask is going to give you the best advice but, Just keep an open mind. It truly can't hurt.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Happy New Year! Be safe, be real and authentic, be you, and keep "doin your thing" but always be able to adjust with the times. God bless :)

The Dallas Cowboys now have a 1% to win the NFC East after yet another huge let down loss to the Minnesota Vikings. JJ McCarthy has his way with the Dallas defense and the Jersey Boyz Podcast is back to break it all down and figure out what to make of the final 3 games. Can the Eagles lose out? Sure! Why not! Will they? No, they won't. Are they Cowboys out of the window? Is this still a "rebuild" ? Dave Sturchio, Bret Ernst and Keith Ernst break it all down! Enjoy, if ya can!

Welcome back! Let’s have some fun!
