There is no moment, look, or touch too small that it is not worth getting noticed. One thing that sets me apart from other photographers is my attention to detail and my ability to observe and capture those “in-between” moments that can sometimes be the most meaningful. It is these small moments of time that need to be “paused” in order to truly capture the big pictures (yes, pun intended). My heart yearns to capture and pause these precious, fleeting moments for you.

cousins! Grandma lined up a cutesy little studio sesh for her grandchildren! We jumped, twirled, roared like lions, we slithered like worms and we still managed to get those typical smiling photos too.

I especially love these types of photos in black and white - so classic.

Megan + Cody had a moment on their deck as they watched their three little girls playing in the yard on a warm summer evening. It was one of those moments that you think, “This. This is what I want to remember. These are the good old days.”

So Megan called me in to etch those “good old day” moments into a memory that will last forever. Baking cookies with sugar coated faces + popping bubbles in the sunshine + dancing under the hose at sunset : bringing those soggy wet footprints on the deck you never want to forget. This is a documentary family session.

Gosh, I love capturing your good old days for you. Thank you for inviting me into your spaces and letting me be a small part of your everyday moments.

Okaaay....so The Surf Ballroom. Yes, I have photographed weddings there before, but never portraits. and oohhhh my word, let me tell you...we had the time of our lives! We didn’t even scratch the surface of all the fun little diddy spots I wanted to use!

Have you ever been there, ladies? Have you SEEN the bathroom?? I have visions of ladies in 1930s dresses getting all primmed up in there - throw back shoot anyone???

Ashlynn has worked with the lights there so she wanted to include them in her senior session! Don’t you think this takes the cake for the coolest senior session? THIS is what I mean when I tell you to include something that is meaningful to you or showcases your personality. It makes your senior portraits so unique to you! She nailed it!

So about that vintage session.....anyone??

color | CoLoR | ICE CREAM!

Miriam really wanted a blue wall for our backdrop so we did some searching and found a couple of perfect spots to go with their outfits! There’s no better way to end the session than with ice cream at Charlie’s!

Clear Lake beach vibes : the Niemans nailed it.

the perfect hazy sunset + the most darling swimsuits + the ability to PLAY = the perfect nostalgic take on beach photos. No beach session is complete without sandy baby toes.

I have one rule during senior photos.

Anyone that comes along to the senior session can’t stand too close! It’s so much easier to let loose and have fun in front of the camera when there isn’t an audience - yes, even you, Mom! Bring whoever you want to your session and they can hang around with us, but most of the time I want them out of the line of sight. I always sense the shift when someone feels like they are being watched to when they feel relaxed and free!

Rozlyn (and her mom 😉) did incredible at her senior session!! 🩷

KYLIE | studio headshots!

Kylie is an incredible classical singer about to embark on a new journey of grad school! She needed some updated photos for her website (she gives voice lessons!!) and social media! I love to have a mix of different lighting and moodiness to create some variety when we are just doing headshots! Not only does it make it more fun for everyone, it gives you the opportunity to mix up your portfolio!

She also happens to have loved on our children for the past year as our babysitter so while we are so excited for her next journey, we will be especially sad that she is leaving us!

Little fun fact: Kylie accidentally forgot to bring the shirt that went with her pant suit...so I lent her the one I was wearing. 😆 I think it worked out well, don’t you??
