Did you know the Art Sanctuary has a Little Free Library right outside our building? 📚

You're likely familiar with Little Free Libraries, but in case you aren't, the concept is super simple: if you see a book you like, take it home to read, and if you have some books you’ve already finished, donate them inside for someone else to discover!

Next time you're visiting or taking a walk downtown, make sure to check out what's on the shelves! And feel free to enjoy our peaceful outdoor seating while you read ☀️🌷

We are so incredibly proud of our resident artist, Ellen Wilson-Pruitt, and the amazing group of porcelain artists who recently brought the Indiana State Parks Platter Project to life right here at the Art Sanctuary!

Featured on WTHR 13News, the Indiana State Parks Platter Project is a special exhibit celebrating America’s 250th birthday, showcasing 25 hand-painted porcelain platters depicting vibrant landscapes of Indiana state parks. Eight incredibly talented artists — Glenda Abbert, Joyce Dwulet, Sherry Hoefling, Sandra Kukman, Linda Lane, C.J. Laster, Cindy Wiltermood, and Ellen Wilson-Pruitt — generously donated their time, talent, and materials to the cause, putting in over 20 hours of meticulous work on each individual platter.

After hosting a special preview right here in our gallery, this beautiful collection has officially hit the road for a year-long tour across the state before being permanently donated to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR).

If you want to see these stunning pieces in person, here is where you can catch the 2026 tour:

May 18–28: Frankfort Community Public Library

May 29–30: ISO Hilbert Circle Theater, Indianapolis

June 1–30: Maring-Hunt Library, Muncie

July 3–5: America 250 Celebration, Downtown Indianapolis

Meet Jackie Barrett, the creative force behind Studio 203! 🧵✨

Jackie’s passion for creating started back in 7th-grade Home Ec, and she’s spent years honing her skills through every stage of life. Today, she’s combined her love for sewing and jewelry making into her brand, "Stitches & Bling."

When you step into her studio, you’ll find a little bit of everything, from beautifully crafted jewelry to handmade aprons, bags, and so much more. Whether you’re looking for a unique gift or something special for yourself, Jackie’s studio is a must-visit during our next Open House!

You can learn more about her work and find her contact details on her portfolio page: https://www.artsanctuaryindiana.com/portfolio-items/jackie-barrett/
