We are so incredibly proud of our resident artist, Ellen Wilson-Pruitt, and the amazing group of porcelain artists who recently brought the Indiana State Parks Platter Project to life right here at the Art Sanctuary!
Featured on WTHR 13News, the Indiana State Parks Platter Project is a special exhibit celebrating America’s 250th birthday, showcasing 25 hand-painted porcelain platters depicting vibrant landscapes of Indiana state parks. Eight incredibly talented artists — Glenda Abbert, Joyce Dwulet, Sherry Hoefling, Sandra Kukman, Linda Lane, C.J. Laster, Cindy Wiltermood, and Ellen Wilson-Pruitt — generously donated their time, talent, and materials to the cause, putting in over 20 hours of meticulous work on each individual platter.
After hosting a special preview right here in our gallery, this beautiful collection has officially hit the road for a year-long tour across the state before being permanently donated to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
