To our Okie Doke BBQ family,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Mike — the man behind the smoker, the stories, and the soul of Okie Doke BBQ.

Mike wasn’t just the owner… he was the early mornings tending the fire, the laughter behind the counter, and the reason so many of you kept coming back. He believed good BBQ could bring people together, and he built this place on that simple, powerful idea.

We know many of you knew him not just as a pitmaster, but as a friend. Your support, kind words, and memories mean everything to our family right now.

Okie Doke BBQ will eventually carry on in his honor — keeping the smoke rolling, just like he would’ve wanted. Everything we do will be in his honor and legacy.

To everyone that showed up and showed out tonight for Mike's (dad's) benefit. Thank you thank you. We were overwhelmed with emotions from the size of that crowd! That amount of love and support that was poured out for dad, was unbelievable. Thank you for all the support and donations. Thank you all for the love! God is good!

To all of our valued customers it's time to update you on things. Mike has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and is currently starting treatments. It will be a difficult time but we will get through it, as some of you have also done. The strength you guys have shown us with your struggles has encouraged us in this one. Over the past few years we have had lots of laughs and quite a few tears with you our extended family.
Good times and bad that's what brings people together. We have enjoyed getting to know all of you and hope for continued friendships. Thank you for your support and God bless you and yours.

permanently closed. The building is for sale please help us find a buyer.
