There will be some shelving, bookcases, a washer & dryer (washer is about 5 years old, front load) (Dryer is electric, OLD but still works), old Singer machines, and who knows what else we will find!

I promised myself I would make this post by August 1st. That's today.

This decision has come after several months of soul searching and mental gymnastics.

I am closing and restructuring the business known as Pink Depford Design Studio.
I have sold the costumes, hats & accessories to another theater company that will be adding them to their already extensive rental stock. We are still in contract negotiations, so I cannot name them as of yet.

I am moving my sewing Studio to a very small scaled down spot in Vallejo.

I will not be taking any commissions for the next few months. I am going to be plenty busy with Dickens this year.

I will be having a sale on Saturday August 26th. That would have been my mother's 92nd birthday.
Maybe I'll serve cake!

There will be fabric: by the roll, bolt, and pieces.
There will be trim.
There will be books. Costume books.

Sewing machines
Professional dress forms
Notions
Buttons

Furniture - bookshelves, wall shelves, steamers, everything must go.

I will have samples from 3 designers: JoAnn Peterson (Laughing Moon Patterns, about size 10-12), Decades of Style (these are all about a size 10-12) & my own line of clothing, a 20's inspired knit wear for the well rounded individual.

We will start at 10 on Saturday August 26 and go till 4.

Pink Depford is having a sale this weekend.
Saturday, July 15th from 10:00 to 2ish. I would recommend coming early because if it gets too hot we're just going to shut it down!
716 Alhambra Avenue, Martinez. It's on the left hand side of the street between Ward and Main.

It's not a big one. It's mostly household items and bits and pieces.
I do have a couple of older sewing machines that I would like to have go to a good home. In addition I do have a feather weight. There will be some patterns, some fabric and some buttons.

However, there is going to be a very big sale in August. Most likely the second weekend. Please stay tuned for details. If you'd like to be added to the email list, please PM me with your

To our loyal friends and followers: This past weekend, Pink Depford took a huge blow.
The toilets in both 716 and 718 overflowed. For many hours. I don't know how long they had been overflowing when I found it at 2:30 on Saturday. I do know that it was many hours later before they were able to shut the water off.

Thankfully, we have not suffered much damage to our stock or to the machines.

What we are facing is a massive cleanup project. We are working with the landlord s, however the scope of the project is incredibly daunting. In 716 we need to remove the toll hanging racks, as well as all the shelving so that the floor can be cleaned and then repainted.

They have already removed most of the carpet. What remains is what is under shelving or the window seat.

This came on the heels of the property manager beginning the repair and abatement on leaks ceilings in both spaces.

To those of you who have rentals out please contact me via email and we can arrange when we might be able to have you return your costumes. For those of you who were hoping to rent for upcoming productions, I am sorry to say that I do not know when we will be able open again.

I will be out of town for the next 10 days on a previously scheduled vacation, so there is no call for action at this time.

There is a space across the street that is about half the square footage of my current spaces. It sounds like they are willing to rent to me for a short-term basis, which is good. The rent is double when I'm currently paying now.

I'm doing my best to keep a positive outlook on this.
