As an Emmy award-winning Producer, Jessica has been in the background coordinating, scheduling & organizing since 2007. With her start in the TV & Film industry, she learned to perform well under pressure and became an effective problem-solver. Working at a Creative Agency and with companies like HGTV, Microsoft, NFL Films, Reebok, NESN, Staples & Showtime kept Jessica alert and always thinking on her toes. Moving into documentary filmmaking in early 2014 made Jessica realize how much she loves to tell human stories. The raw emotion, the natural beauty, the realness of it all. While they're just as unpredictable as any other event, a wedding brings an unmatchable feeling of joy, success and achievement to anything in her earlier career. As a former bride, she know the stress that can be associated with planning the perfect day.

Really great weddings feel unmistakably like the people getting married.

Stacy & Peter said their vow under their chuppah overlooking the water at Popponesset Inn, surrounded by family and Jewish traditions that gave the ceremony so much meaning. Their soundtrack told you pretty quickly this wasn’t going to be a wedding that followed anyone else’s script: Yellow by Coldplay, Enya’s Only Time, Oceans, and finally Sweet Child O’ Mine as they came back down the aisle, married!

From there, the entire evening felt romantic, joyful and incredibly personal. Stacy changed into a short dress for their first dance, which started with Alex Warren and turned into Queen, setting the tone for a night that never took itself too seriously.

There were heartfelt speeches, a private cake cutting away from the crowd, family dances, the hora, and one of those packed dance floors where you realize everyone in the room is exactly where they want to be.

Elegant, meaningful, a little unexpected and so much fun. Stacy + Peter, I loved celebrating this one with you.

Newport has never needed help being romantic, am I right!?

Before Belle Mer became one of Newport’s most recognizable wedding venues, this stretch of Goat Island was home to the Regatta Club. And long before weddings took over the shoreline, Goat Island had already spent centuries tied to Newport’s maritime history.

Maybe that’s part of the romance of getting married here. You’re surrounded by Narragansett Bay, celebrating in a place that has been gathering people by the sea for generations.

In the wedding planning world, some places don’t need a theme. They already have a story. And Belle Mer tells a pretty beautiful one. 🤍

A room reveal, BUT, make it feel like the kind of dinner party you never want to leave.

For this Mount Hope Farm wedding, the goal wasn’t to make the room feel “wedding-y.” It was to make 100 people feel like they’d somehow been invited into the coziest, most beautiful dinner at someone’s home. Warm, layered, a little unexpected, and full of personality.

The kind of space where everyone settles in, pours another glass, talks a little longer, and embraces a whole wedding happening around them.

That feeling is always the best part of a room reveal. Not just “look what we made”… but “we hope this feels exactly like you.”

I’ve been thinking about everyone getting married in New England this weekend.

Couples watching the forecast. Parents wanting everything perfect. Planners running through Plans A, B, C and D. Vendors making something beautiful happen in circumstances none of us can control.

So much goes into a wedding. Months, sometimes years, of imagining the meaningful details, where you’ll say your vows and the people traveling to be there.

So when someone says, “It’s just rain” or “You’re still getting married,” I know they mean well. But it’s okay if it isn’t that simple. It’s okay to be disappointed, worried, or heartbroken if your day can’t happen as planned.

After ten years of New England weddings, I’ve stood beside couples through hurricanes, nor’easters, power outages, heat waves, pandemic weddings and many pivots.

I’ve learned this: the plan is important. But the plan was never the story. (And we know I love a great wedding story!)

Years later, I don’t remember the rain nearly as much as I remember the people running through it.

Vendors carrying things in soaked clothes. Planners quietly solving problems. Families jumping in. Guests hugging tighter. Couples looking around at everyone who did everything they could to be there.

When so much feels uncertain, the people become the certainty. They show up. That is what you remember.

To every couple facing this weekend: I hope you get the day you dreamed of. But if it has to change, or happen another day, changing the plan doesn’t change why everyone was coming together.

That part is yours. No forecast gets to take it from you.

To the New England wedding industry: you are something truly special.

I’ve watched you carry flowers through storms, rebuild timelines, move ceremonies, calm parents, hug couples and stay late. So much never makes the photographs, but it matters.

We see the work, the care, and you.

Ten years in, that may be the greatest lesson weddings have taught me: beautiful things don’t always happen as planned.

Sometimes they happen because people loved someone enough to show up anyway. There is something incredibly beautiful about that. 🤍

There are Wychmere weddings… and then there are full-property-takeover, shut-down-the-parking-lot, surprise-pop-star Wychmere weddings.

Julia + Cole’s wedding is featured in this month’s issue of Cape Cod Life | Best of Cape Cod & the Islands, so obviously we had to relive this one!

Every part of the day had another surprise waiting. Including a New Orleans-style horn line taking over the parking lot and leading guests from the Hydrangea Lawn to Dune for the reception.

But the biggest surprise wasn’t for the guests. It was for Julia + Cole!

Somehow, we kept one VERY big secret from them: Jordin Sparks was waiting in the wings for a surprise live performance.

Yes. THAT Jordin Sparks.

American Idol. “No Air.” “Tattoo.” Millennials, you get it.

Watching Julia + Cole realize what was happening, followed by an entire ballroom collectively losing its mind, is a moment I’ll never forget.

And yes, you can ask me how I kept that one a secret. 😉

There are weddings where everything goes according to plan… and then there are weddings that remind you what the day is really about.

On May 30th. Cape Cod threw just about everything at Brian & Julie. A rare late-May storm. Wind gusts topping 60 mph. Sideways rain. Freezing temperatures that felt more like March than Memorial Day weekend.

And these two? They laughed through every single minute of it.

No stress. No disappointment. Just two people completely wrapped up in each other, trusting that somehow it would all work out. And it did.

The veil caught the wind. The ocean became even moodier. Candlelight glowed a little brighter. Every pivot became part of their story, and we wouldn’t change a thing.

Proof that the best weddings aren’t defined by perfect weather. They’re defined by people who choose joy anyway.

Brian & Julie, thank you for reminding all of us what love looks like when the forecast says “absolutely not.”

It’s giving East Coast summer, but make it luxury.

A waterfront sailcloth tent. Floral ceilings. Hydrangeas in every shade of blue. Crystal chandeliers. Custom moments around every corner.

Justyn & Addison trusted the process, leaned into every detail, and created a celebration that felt effortlessly elegant from beginning to end.

Still not over this one.

Julia + Kyle celebrated at the newly renovated Lighthouse Inn, where timeless Cape Cod charm met a fresh, editorial take on coastal design. The vision? Less “beach wedding,” more windswept meadow by the sea.

Wildflower-inspired florals accented the room’s new woven rattan details and statement chandeliers, completely transforming the reception space while creating warmth, texture, and movement from floor to ceiling. Every layer was intentionally designed to feel organic and effortless, as though the landscape just beyond the dunes had quietly made its way indoors.

The result was a reception that felt sophisticated yet relaxed, elevated without ever feeling overdone. Proof that “classic Cape Cod” can still surprise you.

Then came the sunset, the happiest tears, and a dance floor that never slowed down.

Julia + Kyle, thank you for trusting us to bring your vision to life. Watching your families walk into this space for the first time and seeing every thoughtful detail come together was one of our favorite moments of the season.
