Missouri weather tried its best to ruin this party. 🌧️😂

The plan was outdoors.

Mother Nature had other ideas.

So we moved everything inside, set up the bounce house, games, crafts, food, and candy bar, and the party went on without missing a beat.

One thing I loved about this event was watching everyone enjoy the day comfortably. Great Grandma was able to make it in with her walker, another family member used a cane, and a mama with a baby had access to a changing table when she needed it.

Rain changed the location, but it didn't change the fun.

That's one of the biggest reasons we designed Southside Acres the way we did—indoor and outdoor options, easy access, sidewalks, and space for everyone to enjoy the celebration no matter what Missouri weather decides to do. ❤️

If you're planning a birthday party, shower, graduation, retirement celebration, family gathering, or other special event, let's get it on the calendar and make sure you have a backup plan for whatever Missouri decides to do next. 😉

Yesterday, the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce joined us for our official ribbon cutting at Southside Acres! Thank you so much to everyone who came out, toured the venue, and showed your support. We truly appreciate our community and are excited for what's ahead.

It was amazing getting to meet so many of you, show off the venue, answer questions, and hear all about the weddings, parties, celebrations, and events you're planning. Seeing everyone walk through the doors and get excited about the space made all the hard work worth it. ❤️

Did you know Abigail Troy Photography has been offering onsite elopements and micro weddings since 2020? Yep — we sure have! 💍

Those small, meaningful wedding days are actually part of what inspired Southside Acres.

Elopements, micro weddings, intimate weddings, and smaller gatherings are truly the heart of what we’re building here. We want to be the place you think of when grandma’s house gets too small, you need a break from hosting in your own home, or you want a better option than a quick courthouse wedding.

We also want to be the plan that helps take away the stress of unpredictable Missouri weather — especially after this past weekend. No stressing over crowded parks, muddy ground, sudden rain, or trying to move everything last minute. With both indoor and outdoor options, you can actually enjoy your event instead of worrying about the forecast. 🤍
