The event ends. The part nobody plans for begins.
People see the event days. They do not see the weeks of decisions, the vendor fires, the 16 hour days, the one quick question texts at 9pm.
Your body runs on adrenaline for days. When it stops, everything shuts down.
Feeling wiped is not a sign you took on too much. It means you cared. You carried a lot. Your brain ran a live risk assessment for three straight days.
Then the expectation hits. Great event, now start the next one. Meanwhile your body has not seen a vegetable since setup day.
Just eat healthier is not realistic in peak season. Simple repeatable systems are. That is the idea behind the You Can’t Eat a Run of Show cookbook.
Recovery is part of the work. Build for it like you build everything else.
