UPDATE from the Yosemite Goddess Festival:
With very heavy hearts, we are announcing the cancellation of the 2026 Yosemite Goddess Festival, scheduled for October 3–4 at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds.
Our community is currently responding to the Dome Fire, and the Mariposa County Fairgrounds has become an important base of operations for the firefighters and emergency personnel working this incident.
More importantly, today our hearts are with the families, loved ones, colleagues, and entire firefighting community mourning the loss of two aircrew members who lost their lives while supporting the response to the Dome Fire.
There are moments when everything else becomes secondary.
This is one of them.
The Fairgrounds is needed for the people doing the extraordinary work of protecting our communities, and we fully support its use for that purpose. Under these circumstances, moving forward with the Yosemite Goddess Festival simply would not be appropriate or possible.
To the families whose lives have been forever changed by this tragedy, we are holding you in our hearts.
To the firefighters, pilots, emergency personnel, support crews, and everyone working around the clock during this fire: thank you.
And to our Yosemite Goddess Festival community — our speakers, vendors, artists, musicians, volunteers, partners, and guests — thank you for your understanding and grace as we navigate what comes next.
All Yosemite Goddess Festival ticket purchases will be refunded. We will begin processing refunds in the coming weeks and will communicate directly with ticket holders with additional information as that process moves forward.
We will also be reaching out directly to our vendors, speakers, artists, and other festival participants regarding next steps.
For now, we ask our community to make space for those who are grieving and for the firefighters and emergency personnel continuing this difficult work.
With love,
The Yosemite Goddess Festival Team
