💙 TOGETHER WE INSPIRE GIVING. 💙

Last night, we had the honor of hosting a TWIG II meeting here at Marion Flower Shop.

After a floral demonstration and some delicious refreshments provided by Crumlie's Bake House, the TWIG II leadership shared more about their organization—and their efforts to bring new members into this incredible local group.

But what exactly IS TWIG II?

TWIG stands for “Together We Inspire Giving,” and what they give back to our community is pretty amazing.

Established in 1957, TWIG II focuses its support on OB/GYN, Pediatrics, and Forensic Nursing at our local OhioHealth facilities.

That support takes many forms:

🧸 Toys for pediatric patients undergoing surgery or imaging
👕 Clothing for patients receiving care through the forensic nursing team
💙 Memory boxes and grief-recovery materials for parents experiencing a loss

And that’s just the beginning.

Over the past five years alone, TWIG II has contributed more than $100,000 toward important equipment and improvements, including an EBUS, bilirubin machine, blanket warmers, colposcope, patient bed chairs, a chapel, and much more.

More than $100,000.
From a group of local people simply committed to making a difference.

That’s an incredible accomplishment—and it doesn’t happen without people, time, and dedication.

It’s not QUITE fall yet… but it’s getting closer. 🍂

It’s almost time for that exciting First Day of School! 📚🍎

Of course, everyone’s definition of “exciting” may be a little different.

For the kids? Maybe exciting.
For the parents? Definitely exciting.
For the teachers? Well… let’s just say coffee is probably involved. ☕😂

The first day is a big deal for everyone, and we think there’s no better way to start things off than by getting on the teacher’s good side.

After all, she’s about to invest hours, days, weeks, and months into educating, encouraging, organizing, redirecting, explaining, repeating, and occasionally wondering, “Who thought this was a good idea?”

A little appreciation on Day One might even earn you some first-day grace when the inevitable offense occurs. 😉

Every year, we bring in a limited quantity of grapevine trees in a variety of sizes. And every year, they sell out—with many customers wishing they had ordered sooner as the holiday season gets underway.

So this year, we're setting up a pre-order to ensure everyone gets what they're looking for and...Pre-orders are NOW OPEN!

National Night Out is this Tuesday, August 4th, from 6:00–9:00 PM! 🎉

Calling all kids... and kids at heart!

This is one of our favorite community events of the year. Hosted by Marion's local police, fire, and emergency services, National Night Out packs the grounds of Grant Middle School with games, activities, food, prizes, emergency vehicles, and fun around every corner.

So why is Marion Flower Shop there?

The Mascot Dance-Off, of course! 💃🌸

Our very own Florabelle is back and ready to dance her petals off. After finishing as runner-up the last time she was there, she's returning with one goal—to claim the title of Top Dancer in this year's no-holds-barred mascot showdown.

Whether you're cheering for Florabelle or another mascot, come out and join the fun. It's a great evening to spend with family, celebrate our community, and make some memories together.
