🎉 A BIG THANK YOU to South Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts for helping make a big impact at The Strand over the last year!

Last summer, our Development Director, Taylor Rambo, had the opportunity to attend the Leap Event Technology PatronManager Annual Conference in Las Vegas, funded in part by a grant from South Arts in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts. This professional development experience gave us access to cutting-edge tools, hands-on learning, and conversations with arts administrators from across the country.

And the results? Over the past 8 months, we’ve been able to:

✅ Implement new tech—like a ticket scanning app—that makes getting into a show faster and easier for you
✅ Streamline our internal systems to serve patrons and donors better
✅ Stay ahead of the curve by previewing tools before they even hit the market

We’re so grateful for this support that helps us grow behind the scenes and make your experience at The Strand even better.

🎭✨ What an incredible time celebrating the vibrant arts scene here in Cobb County! We had a blast hosting the Cobb Chamber's 2025 Leadership Cobb Class as we showcased the creativity, talent, and culture our community has to offer.

From the inspiring words of arts advocate Doug Ho**er to a breathtaking performance by the talented dancers of Georgia Metropolitan Dance Theatre, the afternoon at The Strand was nothing short of magical. 💃🎶

Join us for a night of unforgettable stories and bold independent filmmaking from around the world—part of our monthly series running through June.

This month’s lineup features a diverse and powerful mix of films that explore humanity, conflict, mystery, and survival:

🎞️ MORE – A poetic exploration of connection, service, and the question: are we truly capable of more?

🎬 An Afternoon of Cinematic Magic! 🎶

Yesterday, The Strand took a step back in time with a breathtaking screening of "The General" (1926) — and what an unforgettable experience it was! With Ron Carter performing live on The Strand’s mighty theater organ, the silent film came to life in the most spectacular way. The audience was transported straight into the golden age of cinema, where music and movie magic danced together on the big screen. 🌟🎹
