When our son was born, he was 3 weeks early. The hardest thing we ever had to do was leave him in the NICU. My husband and I would take turns going to the hospital every feeding time to try to get him out faster. When our daughter was born, my husband would sit in a chair by the window in my hospital room and just stare at her while he held her. She is the one and only girl out of all the children he and his siblings had. I thank God for this man. I couldn’t have done it without him. Happy Father’s Day to all the father figures out there!
