When Naomi reached out about scheduling a graduation session, I inquired what she majored in. Hearing people's stories and the "why" behind their decisions is one of the reasons I love doing what I do.

After Naomi told me that she went to school for nursing, I commended her for choosing the path of Healthcare. Not everyone can be a nurse or doctor. It takes a special kind of person to care for others, especially when they're at the lowest point in their lives.

I could tell immediately that she had a passion for it. That is absolutely needed, no matter what career path you choose. Hats off to all the nurses who show up with a smiling face and advocate for their patients every day, who make sure their patients are taken care of and are making an incredible impact in the lives of others. You are appreciated! 👏🏾

Today, you're 17. How did we get here already?! You taught me what it is to love someone unconditionally without even knowing them. I loved you before I even met you. We practically grew up together and I am so proud of the person you're becoming. Your calm presence, your crazy humor and silly playfulness that not everyone gets to experience.
