✨ It’s a beautiful Wonderland Wednesday! ✨

The flowers are singing, the White Rabbit is running late (like always), and Mending Spirits volunteers are busy coordinating intakes, arranging transportation, and helping animals receive the safety and medical care they need.

That lifesaving work happens every single day; and this fall, we’re inviting local businesses and community partners to help make it possible by sponsoring our biggest fundraiser of the year: 2nd Annual Second Chance Prom! 🐇♥️

Second Chance Prom brings animal lovers and community members together for a night of dressing up, unwinding, dancing, and having fun for a meaningful cause. As a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit and Southern Minnesota’s only all-animal rescue, Mending Spirits relies on the generosity of our community to continue providing care and second chances to animals of all kinds.

Event sponsorships help cover the cost of hosting Prom, allowing more of the money raised that evening to directly support veterinary care, food, supplies, foster support, and other essential needs. In the first six months of 2026 alone, Mending Spirits spent more than $32,000 on veterinary care.
