Dear Families,

We are excited to share that Manassas Park Youth Basketball League (MPYBL) is a member of the Northern Virginia Youth Basketball Alliance (NVYBA), a collaboration of independent youth basketball organizations from across Northern Virginia. NVYBA was created to expand competitive opportunities for the most advanced middle school players while keeping athletes connected to the local programs that develop and support them. Through the Alliance, our teams will have opportunities to compete against new opponents from neighboring communities, experience different styles of play, and continue developing in a positive, structured environment. The focus extends beyond wins and losses. NVYBA is designed to help players strengthen their fundamentals, basketball IQ, decision-making, confidence, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship while preparing them for the next level of competition. For the 2026-2027 season, NVYBA will include Boys 6th Grade, Boys 7th Grade, Boys 8th Grade, Girls JV, and Girls Varsity divisions, with regular-season regional competition and championship play.

Manassas Park Youth Basketball League will continue to manage our own teams and program while partnering with the other NVYBA organizations to create a strong, consistent league experience for our athletes and families. We are excited about what this collaboration will bring to our players and communities, and we look forward to a great season.

We are in the process of securing coaches and scheduling open gym and try-out times. We will post this info as soon as it becomes available. Any questions please reach out to me.

One Region United by the Game.
