I asked a question today... It was about whether I should speak up on a matter of global concern. Should I step up and out in this way? Or should I just leave this kind of thing for others to express. Dare I inspire? Or should I just keep seeking to only get inspired rather than sharing the spark that could lovingly ignite others?
Using the 'Voyager Tarot' deck I pulled a card: I got THE TOWER card! This card that traditionally warns of a very harsh chapter/experience coming up - was defined in much different terms today by the author of the Voyager Deck James Wanless, Ph.D.

The TOWER card is a 'detox' card! Instead of impending doom, it actually symbolizes cleansing of all levels of ones being. Its about the purging of impurities, the burning up of our dark aspects! "Burn out what does not belong in your life".

Notice on the card, the Sun atop the tower, this symbolizes intense self examination. What mental patterns and beliefs do you need to destroy? Negative emotions and physical toxins must be figuratively incinerated! "See the wordly situations and circumstances you must change". See aspects of yourself which arent really you - areas of false identification and release them in sacrifice. It basically says the process of stepping into your learning and growth is like a magic furnace; "melt down the old inner and outer structures". This sets off a domino effect. Next is a metamorphosis (symbolized by the red winged black bird on the card. This is the first bird to mark the return of spring!) There is a new day at hand that is starting with the reconstruction/reorganization - spring cleaning of your life (symbolized by the light in the tower).

With this interpretation, I will never look at the Tower card the same again. This card...is about ceasing procrastination immediately. It's about making a positive commitment for the greater good, once and for all.

There is a negative side of this card if one lacks the passion...and will of the warrior and stays trapped in their own tower, their old structures. Old ways - within their comfort zone where growth is NON-existent. Lacking the courage to take the leap of faith into a fiery transmutation... Yes it's a FIERY... re-entry into your authentic self! The Tower card....

Joy is our natural state but...
Saw a cool movie this week... 23 year old college grad decides he's had it with his dysfunctional family and society and all he needs is to be one with nature. He starts an American walk about, occassionally spending time with other gypsie like folk who he grows to love. Eventually, though, he gets his wish and makes it to Alaska, solo. There, he loves life, until he runs out of food - like all the wildlife, disappeared and he was forced to live off plants. One day, he ate the wrong one...

From an old abandoned bus that was serving as his house in the wilderness he read up on this plant. Weak, dehydrated, malnurished and in now in a panic, he realized no one would save him and he'd never make it to civilization in time for an antidote for what he'd injested. He missed his family... his friends... the beautiful bonds he made in his travels. He regretted his decision to be ALONE. And in one of his final journal entries he wrote something like, "Happiness...is.... best........when shared".

Not going to tell you the name of the movie in case you see it! :)

Timeless Love/Conscious Decoupling!

What time is it?!

I am SO high right now… trying to come down from the delicious energy of an amazing late night ceremony I just did… Can’t sleep til I share!

Tonight’s was another Conscious Decoupling between a very conscious couple of people. The ceremony took place at the home of the couple Sherry & Jerry (pretend names) whose 10+ year marriage (with children) came to an official end via divorce proceedings and the finale documents completed just two weeks ago. Their divorce is official.

They don’t have rings. So earlier in the day Sherry purchased a pair of watches. She explained the symbolism; watches are about present tense and looking forward, “you can’t look back”. Jerry agreed. SO amazing! I’d never thought of this!! I was so taken, I immediately took out a couple chunks of Rose Quartz (heart chakra energy) from my medicine basket and let the watches rest there while we did their ceremony.

There are roughly 10 steps to the ceremony….Towards the end … -After the many beautiful processes and words and truths and expressions of the bottom line – Love – I took the watches, cleared them…charged them… blessed them and held this precious couple in the Light as they each said their individual vows to the other while they put each the watches on the others wrists: promises to stay in the Light & Loving as Spirit Family sharing this incarnation and genuinely wishing each other the world as they go forward as whole, vibrant & productive ….single people…..

Even for folks who want to include their wedding, engagement or promise rings in this sacred ceremony – understandable – I’m going to start mentioning/suggesting the watches, as well. – And other time pieces we can wear. Reminders that all we really have is now. With every tick of the tock the past vanishes from our grasp. All we have is this moment right…… NOW!

Last night… I was honored to minister a ‘Decoupling Ceremony’.
This beautiful rite of passage allowed the couple to remember and talk about why they fell in love initially. They then shared forgiveness including forgiving themselves, individually. Moving forward now in a different kind of union as they are friends forever…cheerleaders for the other, always, as they both continue their journeys and ambitions.
Knowing that they are also in relationship in other incarnations, they participated in this ceremony knowing the loving here systemically affects their experience …there. Of ALL the ceremonies I’ve done, this one touched me most deeply. Absolutely beautiful and amazing. To quote one of them today (the day after) " I feel like our love is deeper and more fully expressed now than it ever was before! Isnt that weird?! I am so grateful. Blissed out of my mind, actually!"
