MEET THE HERD// As I gear up for the Introduction to Equine Assisted Learning course as well as the longer certification program, I feel called to share my amazing herd of horses with you. Three incredible souls, all unique and with their own story. When you join us for workshops, they become part of your story too.

Frankie is my very special neurodivergent horse due to a neurological disorder that he navigates. But what Frankie may lack in physical or cognitive ability, he makes up for in his absolute curiosity of humans. Frankie is perhaps my most affectionate and accepting horse. As we like to say here at Shakti Ranch, “Frankie is just happy to be here!”. A sweet soul that has an affinity for clients navigating nervous system dysregulation; Frankie is a very important member of the herd.

I cannot wait for you to meet Frankie and experience his magic. 🪄

I was sitting outside with Sophie yesterday, watching her eat and I was overcome with feelings of gratitude & love for this horse…honestly, sometimes it doesn’t even feel like she’s an animal…she just feels like my soulmate, my best friend, partner, teacher. I remember the first day I met her nearly 9yrs ago and the way she looked me in the eye with such a grounded intensity…it truly felt that she saw me from the inside out. There has never been a day that has passed with this beautiful creature that she has not witnessed me from the inside out, from the deepest most shadowy places of my being. And she receives all of it with neutrality & presence. And this is what has guided me to a safe connection with my body and my psyche. Sophie is truly a guide towards a sense of safety & connection for not just me, but my clients who have the opportunity to partner with her too.

More to come in these lessons & teachings from Sophie (whose name btw means Feminine Wisdom 💜). But today, I leave you with this, as you look to a horse as a guide & mirror, you will shift your perspective in so many ways…and that is what know to be a miracle 🌈
