The ceremony: Our recommendation for any wedding, party or celebration is to have the ceremony or opening of the party on top of our hill, boasting a spectacular view of the Green Mountains. We can see from Mt. Mansfield to Camel’s Hump to Sugarbush to Killington. In the view, there are no roads, no power lines—just a few cabins in the far distance. You see the splendor of rural Vermont. (However,
we do have a dirt road to the top of the hill so cars can drive up.) The reception: You can set up a large tent on top of the hill for the reception, again taking in the breathtaking views of the mountains, or wander down to the dining hall building for the reception (which we call the Pavilion). The dining hall has a magnificent stone fireplace at one end, flanked by two French doors. It has a tall ceiling with exposed rafters, indirect lighting, and antique wagon wheel chandeliers. The side walls have floor-to-ceiling panels that open up and have views of the surrounding hills. The building is 100’ long and 30’ wide, with the main hall 70’ long. There is a large kitchen for final preparations by a caterer of your choice. The optimal maximum number of guests is 150. The dining hall will be available the day before the rental date for any decorating and final preparations. The large kitchen is set up for final preparations for a caterer. It is not set up for cooking. It has a sink, gas stove for warming and one refrigerator. If you use a caterer, the caterer should be insured. There is easy access to the kitchen area for the caterer.
