There’s something so special about being surrounded by the women who have known you your whole life… especially when they’re the ones helping you get ready to walk into your next chapter. 🤍
Chandra had her sisters + mom right there, glamming her up, fixing the little details, laughing, hyping her up, and soaking in those last few moments before she became a bride.

But then Dad saw her.
And THAT expression. 🥹
The kind of look that says “That’s my girl.”
The kind that holds a lifetime of memories in one little moment.

For one beautiful moment, it felt like the whole island of Maui was celebrating with them. 🌺🤍
Avery + Kyle’s Wailea beach wedding ceremony was surrounded by the people they love—and framed by the most vibrant tropical florals.

Their close friend stood beside them to officiate, making their Maui wedding ceremony feel intimate, personal, and completely their own.
And then came that moment.
The vows were spoken.
The anticipation built.
They leaned in for their first kiss as newlyweds…
…and their friends and family sent a burst of colorful petals soaring into the air around them. 🌺✨

I watched through my camera as the flowers seemed to suspend in the afternoon light, Avery + Kyle wrapped up in each other while everyone they loved celebrated just behind them.

As a Maui wedding photographer, these are the photographs I live for—the fleeting seconds that can never be recreated, but can be held onto forever.
One kiss.
A thousand petals.

No big wedding production. No packed guest list. Just two best friends, two friends beside them, and a Maui sunset waiting in the wings. 🤍🌅

Kari + Chris might win the award for simplest and most fun Maui elopement ever.
Their Wailea beach wedding ceremony was just the two of them and their closest friends—and I had the absolute honor of being both their Maui wedding photographer AND officiant. 🌺
I led their ceremony, then stepped back during their personal vows so I could quietly capture the moment unfolding between them.

Kari had one very specific request for their Maui elopement: she wanted to say “I do” during sunset.
So we waited.
The light softened.
The sky began to glow.
And they exchanged their vows exactly when they wanted to.

Simple. Playful. Completely them.

And then the sun began to set above the clouds… and Maui gave Mara + Mitchell the most breathtaking finale. 🌅☁️🤍
After a day that took them from a sweet Upcountry cabin, to a first look with llamas, through the forest, and all the way to a Haleakalā elopement ceremony above the clouds, there was one final chapter left to photograph.
Sunset.

And WOW.
The clouds below them began catching every last bit of light, glowing in layers of gold, peach and pink as the sun slipped toward the horizon.

Then the wind caught Mara’s veil.
The light came through it.
And for a few frames, she looked like she was floating somewhere between the sky and the clouds. ✨

These are the moments that remind me why I love being a Maui wedding photographer.
Maui can give you tropical forests, dramatic lava rock, ocean cliffs, mountain landscapes, and an entire sea of clouds—all within the same wedding day.
And Mara + Mitchell embraced every bit of it.

From the llamas at Cottontail Cabin to the forest, the summit, and finally this incredible Haleakalā sunset, their elopement felt like one beautiful adventure unfolding into the next.
And what a way to close the story. 🤍

There’s a reason this place is called Gather—because the best wedding days are really about gathering the people who mean the most. 🤍🌺

Marc + Julie’s Gather Maui wedding ceremony was intimate, personal, and surrounded by the people who matter most.

One of their closest family friends stood at the front to officiate, making the ceremony feel less like a formality and more like a celebration led by someone who truly knew and loved them.

And then came the sweetest little wedding-day plot twist. 🌸
Their flower girl took one look at the aisle and decided she was absolutely NOT walking it.
Enter Dad- who definitely brought his superhero cape to the wedding.
He scooped her up, carried her down the aisle, and tossed petals along the way.
I don’t think we could have planned a cuter moment if we tried. 🤍

As a Maui wedding photographer, these are the moments I live for—the ones that weren’t necessarily on the timeline but become part of the story you’ll tell for years.
Marc + Julie exchanged vows surrounded by their family and friends, and the whole ceremony felt warm, joyful, and completely them.
And while there was plenty more celebration still ahead…
For these few minutes, it was simply two people promising forever, surrounded by the people who helped them get there.

Future brides, let me convince you why a first look might become one of your favorite wedding-day decisions. 👀🤍

Marc + Julie’s first look at the Andaz Maui was the sweetest beginning to their wedding day.
After getting ready separately, Julie made her way toward Marc, and you could feel the anticipation building with every step.

Then he turned around.
And there it was—that look.
The kind that says “I can’t believe I get to marry YOU.” 🥹

As a Maui wedding photographer, first looks are some of my favorite moments to photograph because they give couples a chance to actually pause and take each other in before the whirlwind begins.

And there was plenty waiting for these two…
A beautiful ceremony at Gather Maui, family gathered around them, a few unforgettable little surprises, and eventually a sunset that Maui absolutely showed off for. 🌺✨

But for now, it’s just Marc + Julie.
The excitement.
The anticipation.
The beginning of a day they had been waiting for.
And that first look they’ll never get back—but will always have photographs to remember. 🤍
