Given McBride’s attendance at Wichita’s 2024 Somewhere Fest, this wouldn’t be surprising. What a fantastic asset to Wichita’s music community ~ let’s hope the “rumor mill” is for real!

🎶 Major Rumor Mill Saturday.

Legendary sound engineer John McBride, who is married to Martina McBride, founded one of the world’s most successful and renowned recording complexes in Nashville… Blackbird Studio. He also grew up in Wichita.

Rumor is he’s been buying up property in downtown Wichita to open another state-of-the-art production facility.

It makes sense given the affordability in Wichita and being centrally located in the country for musicians from all over to travel here.

This could be a massive win for the city.
