FlamingoTism

FlamingoTism Flamingotism is a 4-deck live DJ performance blending real-time mashups, crowd energy, live requests, and original music into one evolving experience.

Tips and requests help support grocery donations for families in need through the Salvation Army. Flamingotism is more than a show — it’s a movement of sound, light, and compassion. Each performance is a live, unrehearsed creation blending genres from the 1940s to today, where new versions of familiar songs come alive in real time across four decks and dazzling visuals. The energy is genuine, risk

y, and present — an experience we create together. Wherever Flamingo performs, we give back by supporting local food banks, because music should nourish both the soul and the neighborhood.

Last night the evening’s tips were dedicated to helping local teacher, artist, and musician Kohl Arnett and his family during a difficult medical recovery. Then M.I. Family stepped up and matched those donations so the Salvation Army would still receive its normal support.

Lindsey delivered a powerful performance and closed her set with Patsy Cline’s “Crazy.” That wasn’t an accident. When my dad taught me to play drums as a kid, he started me with Patsy Cline because he wanted me to know what great music sounds like and how to keep a simple beat.

So when Lindsey finished “Crazy,” I tipped my hat to Dad one more time sorta say, “Hey Dad, watch what I do with this now”, before flipping the script and launching into a Memphis, Atlanta, and New Orleans-inspired set.

My dad was from Memphis. Mom from Atlanta. Angela and I will be planting roots in New Orleans. Culture.

A club manager on Bourbon Street asked me if I could play urban music. Fair question. This set is now live at Flamingotism.com

Take a listen and tell me what answer I should give. 😎

Had rehearsal with Lindsey last night and wow.

The entire room kept getting those hair-standing-up-on-your-arms, positive electric goosebumps from how powerful her vocals and harmonics are.

You don’t run into talent like that every day. Rare. Diamond in the rough.

Tomorrow night at The Brick is gonna be incredible.

Show starts at 8 PM.
Lindsey takes the stage at 9:30 PM.

Friday nights at The Brick just got even more awesome this week.

Flamingotism will start warming the room up at 8 PM, but at 9:30 PM we’ve got Lindsey Morgan Martin, a live professional vocalist, taking the stage.

So come early, settle in, grab a drink, and get ready to be rocked as Lindsey performs songs from Evanescence, Radiohead, The Killers, Patsy Cline, and more while I build the sound around her live on the decks.

After the live set, we move through where my people are from — Memphis and Atlanta — and into where my people are going: New Orleans for the rest of the night.

Same energy.
Same family.
Just adding a little extra flavor to the room this Friday night.

No cover.
21+.

And every tip from the night helps us continue purchasing groceries for the Salvation Army food pantry to help neighbors in need right here in our community.

Live vocals. Real moments. No script.

This Friday, Lindsay steps into the room and brings these songs to life in a way you feel, not just hear. I’ll be right there with her—shaping the sound, building the energy, and turning it into something we all experience together.

No cover. Just show up.

And like always… every tip from the night gets turned into groceries for families in our community through the Salvation Army.

Music brings us together.
You help us take that further.

Last night at The Brick!

A true artist is comfortable starting with a blank canvas. I’ll play to an empty room… every time. Because I know what it becomes. And I know who shows up—People who don’t just party…they give back and feed our community.

Sometimes it’s not about the music.

It’s about moments like this.
Good people. Real connection.

Sent a poster gift home with a young lady who had kiddos at home.

That’s what this is about.
More than just a night out.

My method of creating visuals/flyers/album art is the same way I DJ — I take what resonates, layer it with who I am, and form it into something new. External art blended with my real self the same way I blend music live. Expressing the life I've experienced and the perspective in which I eternally, live.
