I love it when my clients tell me, ‘Do your thing.’
From concept to reality, our ‘Under the Sea’ transformation for ’s Catered Events at Alexander Ballroom was a pleasure to design and bring to life.
Originally, Donie wanted to take her team to the Georgia Aquarium for a celebration—but with no spaces suited for a more intimate gathering, she came to us with a bold idea:
‘If we can’t go to the sea, let’s bring the sea to us.’
Before we touched a single light or fabric, we created a live virtual render to show her exactly how the space would be transformed. Seeing her vision come to life even before the first cable was run made the planning process exciting and seamless.
When she described her dream—to have her guests feel like they were dining beneath the waves—I said, ‘Say less.’
Alongside , we designed an entire underwater world: projection mapping scenes of gentle currents and sea life across the walls, casting water ripple lighting across the ceilings, and layering aquatic ambient sounds throughout the room.
The deeper you walked into the space, the deeper you felt the experience.
It wasn’t just decor. It was a journey.
