ARCA Menards Series East To Race at Hickory Motor Speedway for First Time in 2026

TEMPERANCE, Mich. - (December 6, 2025) – The ARCA Menards Series East will make its first-ever appearance at one of the most legendary short tracks in stock car history, Hickory Motor Speedway, on March 28, 2026. The series will compete in a 150-lap event around the storied 0.363-mile oval that has been the launching point for the careers of several NASCAR champions, including the late Bobby Isaac, Ned and Dale Jarrett, Ralph and Dale Earnhardt, and many more.

The race at Hickory will be followed the very next weekend with a visit to the one-mile Rockingham Speedway, giving drivers and teams two races within an hour of the sport’s hub in Charlotte to open the season.

“Considering the tradition, history and longevity of Hickory Motor Speedway and ARCA, it’s especially meaningful to welcome Hickory Motor Speedway to the ARCA Menards Series East schedule in 2026,” said ARCA president Ron Drager. “Hickory’s first race was in 1951 and ARCA’s was in 1953. Bringing the two together after all that time makes this race extremely significant. Hickory Motor Speedway’s legacy is unparalleled and the number of drivers who have had success there and have gone on to success in the NASCAR national series numbers in the dozens. We look forward to seeing which East Series driver adds their name to the list of winners at Hickory.”

“It’s going to be a big start to spring for racing fans in and around the entire area,” said Bob Sargent, president of Track Enterprises, who will promote the races at both Hickory and Rockingham. “We’ve had a great response to the ASA STARS National Tour races at Hickory the last three years, and with the number of ARCA teams based in the area we believe we’ll have a strong turnout of teams and cars at both Hickory and Rockingham.”

Hickory Motor Speedway hosted 35 races for the NASCAR Cup Series from 1953 through 1971, with notable winners including Tim Flock, Junior Johnson, Ned Jarrett, David Pearson, Richard Petty, Bobby Isaac, and Tiny Lund. Jack Ingram won the first of 42 races for what is now the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series in 1982; other notable winners included Morgan Shepherd, Sam Ard, Tommy Houston, Larry Pearson, Dale Jarrett, Chuck Bown, Jimmy Spencer, Bobby Labonte, Dennis Setzer, Johnny Benson, Jr., David Green, Dick Trickle, and Ed Berrier, who won the final event in 1998.

Support divisions for the Hickory event will be announced at a later date; the ARCA Menards Series East will share the weekend with the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series at Rockingham.

Ticket information for both events can be found at TrackEnterprises.com.

Track Enterprises Looks Ahead to 2026 Event Promotion Schedule; Company Refocuses on Event Promotion

(Friday, November 28, 2025)

(MACON, IL) Track Enterprises and longtime promoter Bob Sargent have unveiled their upcoming plans for 2026, marking a shift that will see the company place its sole focus on event promotion at major venues across the country. Since 1985, Sargent and Track Enterprises have been producing high-caliber racing events—from dirt to asphalt, stock cars to motorcycles, and NASCAR national series to grassroots short track racing. That legacy will continue stronger than ever in the year ahead.

Rockingham Speedway Easter Weekend Returns for Year Two

One of the marquee stops on the 2026 schedule is the 2nd Annual Easter Weekend spectacular at Rockingham Speedway in North Carolina. The inaugural 2025 event sold out on Saturday and generated nationwide attention. The 2026 edition will once again feature the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series (formerly NASCAR Xfinity Series), the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, and ARCA Menards Series East. Expectations are already high for another blockbuster weekend at the historic “Rock.”

Track Enterprises Continues as Promoter of Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway

Track Enterprises will also return as the promotional operator of the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, one of the most historic short tracks in the country. The 2026 season will showcase the traditional mix of local racing on the 1/4-mile, along with major 5/8-mile events for Pro Late Models, Super Late Models, Modifieds, ARCA, and more.

New for 2026 is a major event on Saturday, April 11, headlined by the zMAX CARS Tour alongside Nashville’s Pro Late Models—anticipated to be one of the biggest short track events of the spring.

A New Era for ASA Tours, But Continued Involvement Nationwide

Although it was recently announced that Sargent and Track Enterprises have sold the ASA STARS National Tour, ASA Midwest Tour, and ASA/CRA Super Series, the company will remain deeply involved in many of the events as event promoter. In 2026, Track Enterprises will help oversee races at a long list of popular tracks including Cordele, Five Flags Speedway, Shadybowl, Hickory, Tri-County, Nashville, Slinger, Madison, Wisconsin International, Dells Raceway Park, and additional venues still to be announced.

Illinois and DuQuoin State Fair Races Remain Cornerstones

For more than 30 years, Track Enterprises has been the backbone of the iconic mile-track races at the Illinois State Fairgrounds and DuQuoin State Fairgrounds. That tradition continues in 2026, with Sargent once again promoting the USAC Silver Crown Series and ARCA Menards Series events at both dirt miles. Track Enterprises will also return as promoter of the American Flat Track national event at the DuQuoin Mile.

Lincoln Speedway Enters 11th Season Under Track Enterprises Leadership

Track Enterprises, along with promoters Bob Sargent and Adam Mackey, will also celebrate their 11th season overseeing operations at Lincoln Speedway, the 1/4-mile dirt oval located on the Logan County Fairgrounds in Lincoln, Illinois. Since taking over in 2016, the promotional team has elevated the facility into one of the premier short tracks in the Midwest.

In addition to strong staple classes, marquee dates on the 2026 calendar include the Castrol FloRacing Night in America event in May, the DIRTcar Summer Nationals “Hell Tour” stop in June, two visits from the MOWA Sprint Cars, and the season-ending DIRTcar Fall Nationals in October.

ARCA Menards Series & ARCA East: Continued Leadership

Track Enterprises will continue to serve as event promoter for numerous ARCA Menards Series national events including Elko Speedway, Springfield, Madison, DuQuoin, and Salem. On the ARCA Menards Series East slate, the company will again promote races at Rockingham, Nashville, and a new 2026 addition to be announced soon.

Looking Forward: Sargent on the Future of Track Enterprises
With the recent sale of the ASA tours, Sargent emphasized that the company is excited to put 100% of its energy back into major event promotion.

“Our heart has always been in bringing big events to fans, and 2026 will allow us to get back to that full time,” said Track Enterprises President Bob Sargent. “For 40 years our mission has been to create memorable experiences at racetracks across the country—from local fairgrounds to national series venues. With a packed and diverse schedule ahead of us, the future for Track Enterprises is as strong as it has ever been.”

Sargent added that the company’s relationships with NASCAR, ARCA, USAC, DIRTcar, World of Outlaws, American Flat Track, and dozens of short tracks will remain a cornerstone of their continued success.

A Full Slate Ahead

With a renewed focus, a nationwide schedule, and multiple premier events already announced, Track Enterprises enters 2026 poised for one of its biggest and busiest seasons in company history.

Marty D. Melo, owner of MDM Promotions, formally announced the acquisition of the ASA STARS National Tour, ASA Midwest Tour, CRA Super Series, CRA All-Stars Tour, and TrackTV from Track Enterprises. The acquisition represents a major organizational milestone within the asphalt short track industry and ensures continued operational stability, strategic growth, and long-term stewardship of these nationally recognized motorsports properties.

This transition follows more than a year of elevated leadership engagement by Marty Melo, who assumed operational and sales oversight of the ASA STARS National Tour in the fall of 2024 and assisted in managing the series with Bob Sargent. In this capacity, Melo established the Platinum Program, which brought in 15 full-time teams at the beginning of the 2025 season. He additionally secured multiple high-profile corporate partnerships, broadening the series’ commercial portfolio, and contributing to a stronger, more sustainable foundation for teams, partner tracks, and the broader ASA racing platform.

“I am honored to assume responsibility for these historic series and the TrackTV platform. The timing was right and I can’t thank my wife, Misty Melo, and those close to me enough for the support and believing in me. Bob has given me a great opportunity,” said Marty Melo.

The ASA STARS National Tour, ASA Midwest Tour, CRA Super Series, and CRA All-Stars Tour all play critical roles in strengthening the Super Late Model and Pro Late Model racing landscape. Under the ownership and leadership of Bob Sargent, Track Enterprises has significantly elevated these properties over the past three years, momentum that positions Marty Melo for continued success moving forward.

Outgoing owner Bob Sargent, who will remain as an advisor and continue promoting several 2026 ASA STARS events, expressed full confidence in the transition. “Marty brings the professionalism, passion, and operational and marketing insight needed to keep these tours moving forward. His commitment to the sport, combined with his experience within ASA operations, makes him exceptionally well-suited to lead these properties into their next chapter.”

Marty Melo stated, “As for the four series, the vision will be to continue building on the successes of the series that have been put in place by the track promoters, officials and staff, race teams, and series sponsors.”

All previously announced 2026 schedules, event structures, operational frameworks and the strategic alliance with Tim Bryant, owner of the ASA Southern Super Series, will remain unchanged during this transition. Newly appointed Alex Gilhart will continue his role as Series Director of the ASA Midwest Tour while Scott Menlen will likewise remain in his role as Series Director of the CRA All-Stars Tour and race director of the ASA STARS National Tour. Additional announcements will be released in the coming weeks.

ARCA Menards Series Announces 2026 Schedule;
All 20 Races Live on FOX Sports

TEMPERANCE, Mich. - (October 4, 2025) – The ARCA Menards Series has announced its 2026 schedule and will again feature 20 races at 19 tracks, including the return to two familiar fan favorites.
The 2026 season will open at Daytona International Speedway and, for the first time since 2021, the championship will be decided at Kansas Speedway. The series will also make its much-anticipated return to Pocono Raceway in June and Chicagoland Speedway in July.

“The 2026 ARCA Menards Series schedule will see long-term relationships with NASCAR national series tracks like Daytona International Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway, Kansas Speedway, and Michigan International Speedway continue,” said ARCA President Ron Drager. “We’ll also return to traditional short track venues like Toledo Speedway, Elko Speedway, Berlin Raceway and Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, in addition to the road courses at Lime Rock Park and Watkins Glen International and the two dirt tracks at the Illinois State Fairgrounds and the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds. It’s a great mix of tracks across the country that will provide our teams and our fans one of the most diverse schedules in American motorsports.”

The highlights:

The series will race at Daytona for the 63rd consecutive year dating to 1964; as it has for the last seven years, the race will be the opener of a same-day doubleheader with the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series the day before the DAYTONA 500.

FOX will broadcast the Daytona ARCA 200 for the second consecutive year; 13 races will air on FS1 and six on FS2.

The series finale will return to Kansas Speedway for the first time since 2021; the track will be the only venue to host two series races, the first in May and the championship round in September.

Chicagoland Speedway returns for the first time since 2019 in July and Pocono Raceway for the first time since 2023 in June; both races will be in combination with the NASCAR Cup Series.

Toledo Speedway will return to its traditional May date, with other stand-alone short track races at Berlin Raceway and Elko Speedway in June, Madison International Speedway in August, and Salem Speedway in September.

The two dirt miles at the Illinois State Fair and DuQuoin State Fair both return on their traditional weekends.

Two road course races are on the schedule, with Watkins Glen International moving to May and a return to Lime Rock Park for the second consecutive season in July.

Additional conjunction races with NASCAR national series will also be held at Phoenix Raceway in March, Talladega Superspeedway in April, Michigan International Speedway in June, Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park in July, Iowa Speedway in August, and Bristol Motor Speedway in September.

The race at Phoenix Raceway in March will be a combination race with the ARCA Menards Series West, while races at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, Iowa Speedway, and Bristol Motor Speedway will be combination races with the ARCA Menards Series East; a fourth combination race will be announced when the ARCA Menards Series East schedule is released.

All dates are tentative and subject to change.

Schedules for the ARCA Menards Series East and West will be released at a later date.
