Meet Chris Sanders, our Executive Administrator!

He is responsible for all our new show inquiries including planning, site surveys, permit requirements, and much more!

Chris has been with DSF for over two years now as a lead pyrotechnician and is a critical asset to the company!

Chris resides in the Atlanta area and enjoys spending time with his wife and son and making and listening to music!

Hello!

If you did not know the United States is turning 250 years old next 4th of July. Additionally 4th of July is falling on a Saturday.

The demand for firework shows is going to be astronomical, therefor we are making this post to inform our current customers, and future customers that we will be booking up very fast.

We are already seeing a massive influx of show requests for July 4, 2026.

Currently we have a minimum show cost for July 3, 4, and 5th.

If you or someone you know is interested in booking Deep South Fireworks for a 4th of July show I would highly recommend reaching out ASAP as we may be fully booked by December 1st at this rate.

Thank you to all our new and current customers.

You guys did it! We are fully booked up for July 3rd and 4th 2025 and both nights are closed.

We are still taking new shows for June 28th and July 5th. But these dates are filling up quickly too.

Continuing: Meet the CEO:

*What drew you to this role/company?*
I have always wanted to be a leader, and I think I was born for it. I really wanted to be my own boss and be able to make my own hours. I am not a morning person, and I did not want to get up early so I figured if I can be my own boss I can make my own hours. What drew me to this company was I could bring joy to the world one firework at a time. I have many stories of impacting people’s lives even if it was for a few minutes during the show. The relationships I have built through fireworks have been lifelong friends and memories that will always be cherished!

*What are the biggest professional challenges you've overcome?*
Going from just a guy that liked fireworks in small town in Georgia to being able to convince major cites to hire us for a firework display. Deep South Fireworks is going on our 5th year in operation. Many of our competitors have been in business for 100+ years. So, my professional challenge was to prove to the clients that I could do just as good or a better show than my competitors and have them give us a chance.

*What motivates you to perform at your best?*
Ever since I was a young boy, I have always been a hard worker. I always wanted to put my best foot forward in everything I did in life. I knew that if I did not work hard and perform the best I could stay at the bottom of the totem pole. What motivates me to perform the best I can is the end results. Operating a company of any caliber isn’t just a 9-5 job. It takes 80+ hour weeks to be successful at times. When I see the results of a firework show and the happiness it brings so many people that is what motivates me to perform my best.

*Professional Background*
I spent 12 years in the United States Army as a M1A1 Tank Crewmember on the Abrams Tank. I deployed to Iraq in 2009 and finished my career as an Instructor for the Armor Basic Officer Leaders Course at Fort Benning, Georgia. After that I had a short career with the Columbus Fire and EMS as a Firefighter and EMT. I then owned an ambulance company before going full time with Deep South Fireworks. I do have a bachelor’s degree in Fire Science Management.
