As so many of you commented, there is now twice as much to browse, shop and enjoy across both the Christmas Store of New York and the newly opened The Mercantile @ Newberry. We opened the Halloween and Fall Basement Room on the Lower Level of The Mercantile to feature our large collection of Halloween and fall merchandise! THE CHRISTMAS STORE OF NEW YORK invites you to join us for our Annual Christmas in July Open House this weekend!

Located in three adjoining storefronts in Historic Downtown Lyons, New York and featuring over 7,000 sq. ft. of Everything Christmas with 40 fully decorated Christmas trees to help spark your design ideas.

This weekend will be full of special guests, samples, giveaways, door prizes and raffles. Donna, our Director of Design, will be floating between stores to answer questions and provide you with design tips.

Meet our man from the online videos, Glenn and check out Craig's specialty coffee drinks in The Mercantile @ Newberry featuring locally roasted Imprint Coffee.

Please feel free to show off your Christmas themed attire! Christmas in July is your chance to show off as well!

EVENT SCHEDULE & HIGHLIGHTS:

• Justin from Creative Co-Op will be available on Friday to provide samples and recipes of Finch + Fennel from 11 until 3.

• We will be providing samples of Stonewall Kitchen products all weekend long and giving away a jar of either Blueberry Jam or Roasted Onion Garlic Jam with every 3 jars of 13 oz. Stonewall Kitchen items purchased.

• Ruth Jacobs will be here on Friday to showcase Old World Christmas, Periwinkle by Barlow jewelry and Myra Bags!

• All weekend long you can Fill A Box of Old World Christmas ornaments with a minimum of six ornaments and receive 20% OFF each ornament.

• On Saturday the Lyons Farmers' Market will be joining our Christmas in July celebration from 8 until Noon, so come early and visit with their vendors as well!

It’s the “official’ opening day for our latest retail shopping experience of our Evolve For The Home family, The Mercantile @ Newberry! Just a reminder that Canal Clean Sweep weekend is coming up! On Saturday, April 19th a group of volunteers will be meeting behind LOCK27 at 27 Water Street beginning at 9 AM. For everyone’s convenience we always have a large garbage can behind LOCK27 for people to use and encourage everyone to do their part year-round in keeping our Canalway and trails clean!

May we have a drumroll please! … Evolve For The Home is proud to announce our newest location, The Mercantile @ Newberry! Our recently acquired retail experience is scheduled to open on April 21st. Conveniently located directly across the street from our nationally visited and popular Upstate New York retail triad of historic downtown storefronts known as The Christmas Store of New York and “The ONLY Year-Round Christmas Store in New York!,” The Mercantile @ Newberry will be a vital addition to our company and our hometown community we are committed to.

With nearly 5,000 square feet of retail space of its own, The Mercantile @ Newberry will feature its own personal shopping experience by offering an eclectic yet finely curated selection of stylish apparel, home decor and accessories, mixed in with quality vintage finds designed to enhance the retail shopping experience of Historic Downtown Lyons, New York and offer visitors to the Greater Finger Lakes area another reason to visit our little corner of the world.

Tucked inside the store will be The Café @ Newberry, a small but cozy resting place offering up freshly brewed coffee, snacks and sandwiches initially with plans to expand selections to include signature menu items that will feature brands and products that are offered for sale in our stores. Additional seating can be easily added to accommodate our motorcoach and tour operator events with sidewalk café seating also anticipated in the future.

By expanding into the vacant former J.J. Newberry building directly in the Historic Downtown District this location allows for us to logistically consolidate our operations both in terms of providing an outstanding customer experience while also giving us the option to expand our online operations in the area below the main store.

Additionally, future plans are in the final stages to provide a much needed makeover to the building façade while maintaining its historical significance in the community, a main reason we chose to retain the name Newberry in our rebranding initiative.
