We are still currently running electrical down in the swamp so we don't have to use generators. Took longer than expected to get approved from the
County. So we will be closed this year 2025 to finish running power and reopen next year 2026.

Since im off work tonight. Trying to keep my work schedule. Redoing some halloween props for 2025. Making them to withstand the outdoors.

Does your kids need a visit from the mean grinch to remind them to stay good. We will visit and take some presents from the tree all while your little one is watching and screaming in horror. No harm to the children however we might need to push them around some to make sure we get what we want (the presents).

When: Starting December 12th.
Where: Bladen, Robeson, Brunswick, Columbus, New Hanover Counties.

We at Death Swamp in Lumberton NC have some sad news to share. We will not be open in October 2024 due to health issues I'm trying to resolve. However we will be open next year 2025 and that gives us plenty of time to double the Haunted trail deeper in the swamp and make great improvements learned from the first year of operation. We are in the process adding all electrical outlets thru out the swamp. We are so grateful for all the actors reaching out to help this year and alot of new actors wanting to make Death Swamp the largest Haunted trail in the Southeast NC with all home made props which we are extremely proud of. A few of our props have already been in a horror film coming out next month. We have a whole year to expand the trail deeper in the swamp where it is pitch black and if you know lumbee folklore, Raft Swamp is a known area for our ancestors to do money hunting and telling stories of unknown entities in the swamp. My grandpa use to money hunt and he had some haunting stories.

We were very successful our first year, learned alot for improvements and plan to grow every year. For our first year we had some many comments about how great Death Swamp was compare to many that had been in business for years! Thanks to the community, great actors from across several counties and several food vendors that were awesome. We have some awesome neighbors that had fireworks on several nights. We didn't know they were going to do it..but it was awesome to get the community involved for a fun filled night for the county to keep the youth occupied.

Be ready next year to run out of your shoes.
