WE’RE GROWING OUR TEAM FOR 2027!

Something exciting is happening at Sunny Hill Flower Farm!

As we look ahead to 2027, we’re preparing to bring about 3 new people onto our team! And we want to start meeting those people now. 🤍

Over the next two weeks, we’re opening up a few volunteer tryout days for people to come out to the farm, meet us, see what we do, and get a feel for whether flower farming might be something they’d like to pursue with us next year.

Who are we looking for?

🌿 Young people eager to learn
🌿 People who aren’t afraid of hard work
🌿 People willing to get dirty, work with their hands, and show up ready to help
🌿 People who want to be part of growing something good right here in our community

Now, let’s be honest… flower farming isn’t all pretty bouquets and sunshine. 😂 There’s plenty of weeding, hauling, planting, sweating, and getting your hands dirty! But there’s also something pretty special about working hard, growing something beautiful, and serving your community through it.

This morning was better than we could have hoped for.

Thank you to everyone for praying for us.

We were fully supported by the Boyd Cattle Co. could not have asked for a better crew of incredible guys who really pushed through to get this done. If y’all ever need anything from them give them a call 512-3761104

The places life takes us!

Over the past two months, many of you have seen us working on installing a high tunnel. And honestly, this whole adventure is for YOU!

Over the past six years, one of my biggest challenges has been figuring out how to extend our growing season so we can offer flowers to our wonderful community here in Caldwell County for more months of the year.

It has been a struggle every single season.

When I started this flower farm, I had no idea what kind of roller coaster I was signing myself up for. 😂

But just like in all the drama-filled movies we love, there’s the hero’s call to adventure, the infamous antagonist or villain, and, of course, the very best part of the story: the heroes!

First and foremost, God is the hero of every story. He is the Creator of incredible communities and towns like Luling, Texas. And He fills them with people who have the biggest hearts and the strongest work ethic. And goodness, y’all… those people just happen to live right here!

THIS MORNING IS THE BIG PUSH, Y’ALL!💪🌿

With a little cold front coming through this weekend, we’re racing to get this project finished *this morning!We’ll be stretching 105 feet by 54 feet of greenhouse plastic over this structure, and it’s going to take an incredible team effort to get it done.

So, I’m hopping on here this morning to ask for your prayers! Please pray that everyone stays safe, that the weather cooperates, and that we can get this project completed successfully.

As my mom always says, “Memorable but uneventful is our goal!”😂

We can’t wait to see what this next chapter means for our farm and for the flowers we’ll be able to share with all of you. This has been a long time coming, and we’re so grateful to have a community worth working this hard for.

Nothing more American than an old truck at DQ 😂 well okay…a lot more things 🧐😂

This time of year is the best time to take the Sunny Hill Truck out as it still does not have AC. It’s perfect because the breeze coming through the window is just right. And even better it has this full time feature that helps during winter….. the floors heat up like an oven because their is no floor insulation 😂 It’s a total winter daily driver 🙌💯

Hey do you remember this flower……

Our favorite late spring flower was called Lisianthus!!!!

I need some advice or inspiration.

This flower blooms only over a 3 week time frame.

It lasts in a vase for 3 weeks, has amazing color….and well so many of you fell in love with it.

The help I need is I had about 2,000 stems coming in every other day!!!!!!

This is gonna happen next April.

Should I plan a whole week where every evening is a u-pick????

Should I open sales at the farm for pre-cut?

Should I deliver all over Austin?

Or throw them out when I have too many????
