“A lil bit of this & a lil bit of that…” M-m-m-m M-m-m M-M-M-M!!!! 👨🏽‍🍳😋 Come ON w/ that Penne/Meatball, Honey Chicken, Parsley Potatoes, Green Beans, & Salad!!!! 🔥 … I may be biased; but, I NEVER mind “tasting” (solely for “quality-control” purposes, of course) LOL 😂

****Seriously, thank you (everyone) for your continued business & support. As we are approaching our extremely busy season (especially the month of June), we may have difficulty responding to your inquiries in a timely fashion.

****TEXTING W/ COMPLETE DETAILS IS STILL THE BEST WAY TO GET THE QUICKEST RESPONSE FROM US. Due to the time factor of funeral meals, of course, those inquiries will receive the quickest response. If we don’t respond to all other inquiries within 48 to 72 hours, chances are we are tending to current customers with events happening right now. In this case, please text a second time, asking if we received your initial text. We can then check our calendar for available dates…”if” you text complete details (such as: your name; type of event; approximate range of guest count which is a 40-person minimum; and if you know if you’d like us to work the event which includes 20% service fee—not including gratuity to the servers; or, if you’d like to have your food dropped off…that includes the food only (for a reasonable delivery fee (TBD)); or, if you will be choosing to pick up your food; and, lastly, if it applies, list the venue at which you hope to have your gathering—we have various menus…some include a cost that fluctuates from our “basic cost” if the venue charges us a caterer’s fee (e.g., $3 a person), etc.

****Please note: wedding planning takes some time. It may require getting into one of our taste tests that we offer a few times a year (August, November, February). The cost for weddings varies depending on several factors. We may offer a “ball park” figure; but, it’s not until we sit down together &/or schedule a phone meeting that we can really take a look at these particulars. Again, June is extremely busy. Wedding planning and/or talks will need scheduled at a later month. We, could, however, enter you as an inquiry in our calendar (so that it’s in there), but then ask you to reach out again (after June is up) to schedule a conference or talk for the potential catering of your wedding.

****Hi, Everyone! I’m re-sharing some tips (from a few years back) that will help “us” (Gianna’s Catering) to better help “you” when trying to plan your next event.

****When contacting us to inquire about our availability for an event, the most efficient way to reach us is via “text” to Kristen’s cell phone #(330) 507-4322; or Brian’s cell phone #(330) 550-5384.

****We continue to offer our full catering menus for various events. Note: our minimum count for 2025 is 40 people or greater. We love when you let us know you liked a particular dish; but, please accept our apologies in advance that we do not sell individual pans. Thank you for your understanding.

****When texting, please include the following:
1) your first and last name;
2) say the day of the week & specific date(s) you’re inquiring about;
3) tell us the type of event(s) you’re having;
4) tell us the venue or place(s) you may be holding the event(s);
5) include your email address (so that we may send you a specific, up-to-date menu); and/or,
6) please re-text your cell phone number as well (so that we may opt to send you a menu in this manner).

THANK YOU AND PLEASE ALLOW US 48 HOURS TO RESPOND. ****If you don’t hear from us, please send us a reminder text.
P.S. Please note it is due to us taking care of the needs of customers scheduled for that week, that could delay us in responding to you.

****Good day to all! First off, Brian and I would like to thank each of you for your support and business once again this year. We have a great team behind us; without each person, none of our success would be possible. To God be ALL glory 🙌🏽✝️❤️
****Secondly, with this being said, we are getting numerous texts and messages re: December parties (for this 2024). We regret to let you know that we are maxed out! Brian’s genuine heart is to “serve well” everyone (w/ a spirit of excellence). To continue to be able to do so, we can take no more parties for Dec.
****In addition, the shop & our phones will be closed from 12/25/24 through 1/2/25. We very much need time to reconnect as a family (without interruption of answering additional text messages and trying to listen to and respond to voicemails). Those of you who have already reached out, we will still try to answer you. Our Story

History of Gianna’s Catering

Phyllis Nolfi originally started Gianna’s Catering in 2004, in Lowellville, Ohio, but had been cooking for others for years before. “I originally served my food through the concession stand at the Lowellville High School football games, where people started to notice my cooking. In fact, many people, who were not even football fans, came to get take-out orders before the game.” She was encouraged by many to open her own catering business. So, in 2004, “Gianna’s Catering” was born. Phyllis originally worked through area churches, using their kitchen facilities, and slowly building her reputation. In 2008, she purchased the former Gino’s Restaurant building on East Water Street, in the heart of Lowellville, from where she has been operating since.

When asked about the name of her business, Mrs. Nolfi, with a smile on her face, shared that it was named after her only daughter, Gianna. She jokes, Gianna said that “you can have my name, but that’s all that I’m giving you”, as she wanted no part of the catering business.

Phyllis is quick to credit the core group of ladies who started with her and those who have stayed with her for all these years. The reputation for excellent food and service has kept Gianna’s busy for these many years, with little need for advertising. But Phyllis with her expanding family (including 14 grandchildren), wanted to spend more time with them, and their many activities. She and her husband, Tony, with agreement from their business partners, Leslie and Mike Piccirillo, sold the business to Brian and Kristen Yemma in the summer of 2018.
