Now that the holidays are over & your New Year’s Resolution is still going strong…many of you recently engaged girls will begin the hunt for THE dress to wear on your BIG day...not sure where to start? How about some advice from someone who is in your shoes? One of our brides just went dress shopping last week & here is what she had to say:
Even though I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted & what I thought looked good on me, I still tried on all styles- a fit and flare, ball gown, A-line…you name it, I tried it. I must have put on about 15-20 dresses and, after seeing all of the different styles on my body, I decided that I liked how the fit and flare looked best. I thought I knew exactly what I wanted until I tried that style on, but the original style I thought I wanted did not work with my short and curvy stature. Thankfully I switched it up & tried on all of the different styles, otherwise I wouldn't have known how great the fit and flare looked on me! My suggestions to brides: I would suggest you only go shopping with 1-2 people so that what you want isn't lost in a sea of other people’s opinions. I also suggest trying on a few styles to see what looks best. Lastly, ALWAYS wear full coverage un**es and a strapless bra (or at least take them with you)."
