⭐️Start Small⭐️
Oftentimes, people whisper about asking for help. They approach it like they’re going to ask for a billion dollars or a kidney, when all they need is someone to pick up a few things at the store, or plan a date night. If you’re a help hater, pick a small task that doesn’t feel so scary. You can do it!
⭐️Erase the Stigma⭐️
Maybe you learned to be self-reliant from birth. Maybe you think asking for help equals failure, or you’ve asked someone before and they didn't do it how you would want it done. Remind yourself that some lifelong patterns aren’t necessarily helpful for your adult self. Asking for help is in no way a failure. Also? Maybe the way someone else did something for you was different than how you were to do it, but it wasn't wrong, and it eliminated a task from your to-do list or maybe they were the wrong helper; it happens. So let’s try again, with new people and fresh situations.
⭐️Know that Everyone Needs Help⭐️
We fully support the notion of being a strong, powerful, independent woman but let's be honest sometimes we mask pride with being independent. Don't settle for burnout because of your own stubbornness, give yourself the same grace you give to others - you deserve it!
⭐️Acknowledge that Others can Make us Better⭐️
There is power in delegation! Realizing that giving someone the opportunity to earn your trust unlocks an opportunity for you to exhale in ways you've never known before. Allowing someone else to step in and eliminate the items in your life that you don't have time for, aren't good at or don't enjoy doing gives you the most precious gift back, time. Time to spend on self care, an outing with your children, a date night with your partner or just a moment of silence that you wouldn't have otherwise. We consider it an honor when clients trust Leave it to E. This is your reminder, YOU are still the one making it happen, we are just an extension of you. If you want to fly, you have to give up what weighs you down.
