For decades my father, Don Maxon, spent tremendous amounts of time salvaging interesting architectural items from old buildings and stored them in various places on the Lilac Hill property. He had a keen eye for beauty and quality and was into this type of collecting well before it became "cool" like it is today. The property itself is a work of art as he also spent 30 years clearing the overgrown

land and landscaping it with thousands of varieties of flowers, shrubs, evergreen trees, lilacs and crabapples. From April through October there is always color wherever you look.

To all of our ‘26 & ‘27 couples: We are sorry for the short notice but we are hosting an open house on Sunday November 9th 12-4pm. This event is primarily focused on newly engaged couples looking for a venue home, but we will have 6 of our preferred vendors on hand for you to meet and talk about your plans for your wedding. There will be a caterer, DJ, videographer/photographer, wedding coordinator, florist and bridal wear shop. If you haven’t yet found these vendors for your wedding this would be a great time to come meet them! Looking forward to seeing you all again!
