It is with a sad heart that I have decided to refocus my business to a more design/decorating business. I will be selling off my inventory. The History of the Afternoon Tea Party - Part 2

Did you know that the actual taking of tea in the afternoon developed into a new social event in the late 1830's and early 1840's. The tradition was established by Anne, Duchess of Bedford. The Duchess requested that light sandwiches and scones be served along with the tea. During the 18th century tea gardens became very popular which made tea all the more fashionable to drink and important places for men and women to meet.
