Funday at the Louisville Park this morning. Kids and Cops Nerf Battle was well received. The game was capture the flag. Kids Place Daycare came to root on the Kids and Cops. Thank you to all the folks that helped and participated. We had to have a tie breaker to determine the team winner. The Kids picked up all the shot darts and BONUS, they got to keep the darts. Now that created a lot of excitement.

Thank you for all the box donations for the nerf gun fun. No more boxes needed.
Reminder…if you have kids ages 9-14 yers old, the Friends of the Louisville NE Library is hosting a nerf gun fun with the cops at the Louisville city park June 4 at 9 am. You MUST register to participate. The first 50 registrants will be allowed to participate. The Friends of the Library will provide 50 nerf darts for each participant. Each participant must have eye protection in order to participate. If you wish to participate, please call me at 308-641-8675 becore 5-25-2026.

Those wanting to be in our battle on June 4 need to contact the Friends of Louisville NE Library by May 25, 2026. AGE LIMIT IS AGE 9 to 14.

Nerf battle deadline to sign up is May 25th. If you want to participate, you need to sign up via Facebook since the library is now closed for their remodel.
The Friends of the Louisville Library will provide nerf darts and refreshments for those that sign up by May 25th. Ages 9-14 are eligible for the fun on June 4th at 9am at the Louisville Park (south side). Only the first 50 to sign up will be allowed to participate.

KIDS AND COPS NERF BATTLE
Kids and Cops Nerf Battle June 4, from 9 am to 11 am brought to you by the Friends of the Louisville Library at the Louisville Park.
Age limit is age 9 to 14. Anybody over the age of 15 is welcome to help set up the obstacle course and to clean up afterwards.
Only nerf darts are allowed and each participant MUST HAVE EYE PROTECTION to participate. EACH PARTICIPANT WILL NEED TO BRING THEIR OWN NERF GUN THAT USES NERF DARTS ONLY.
The Friends of the Louisville Library will provide each shooter with 50 nerf darts and refreshment during the nerf battle break.
The sign up sheet will be at the Louisville Library until May 11 OR WHENEVER The library closes for remodeling.If the 50 person limit is not met by then, you will need to notify us via this page before May 20.
Still looking for large cardboard boxes for our obstacle course. You can contact Joan at 308-641-8675 and I’ll pick up the boxes.
Looking forward to some nerf fun.

Great Saturday morning at the library for Dr Seuss. Thanks to our The Friends of the Louisville NE Library fundraising and donations, each kid went home with a goodie bag and a Dr Seuss book. We are always taking donations for more events at the Louisville Public Library. The next library event for kids, is the Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, April 4 at 1:00 at the Football Field.

Leno the Lion is asking for your help Lion Country! Look for our The Friends of the Louisville NE Library table at all our summer events to sign up for emails and help in anyway you are able. Whether it's handing out flyers around town, standing at a table for vendor events, helping us transport items to the different events we sponsor around town, or just passing the message on to family and friends, all help is welcome!
