Here's the truth about slow songs: most people just sway in a circle and quietly wait for it to end. There's a better option, and it takes two evenings to learn.

Nightclub Two-Step is the smooth, low-key club dance built for exactly those moments. Slow songs, mid-tempo ballads, that one track that comes on at every wedding. Once you know it, you stop dreading the slow ones and start looking for them.

We're teaching it from scratch at Bravo Dance Studio in Louisville. Two Tuesdays, June 9 and June 16, starting at 7:00 PM. No experience. No partner required. We rotate during class, so showing up alone is completely normal.

$24 for both classes. Two nights, one genuinely useful skill.

If you've ever wanted to dance Latin but figured it was too complicated, start here. Merengue is the easiest Latin dance there is. The basic is built on a simple march, which means almost anyone can pick it up in one evening.

We'll take it from zero on Wednesday June 17 at 7:00 PM at Bravo Dance Studio in Louisville. No experience needed. No partner required, since we rotate through the whole class, so walking in solo is totally normal.

By the end of the night you'll have the basic step, the hip motion, the timing, and enough confidence to actually use it at the next party. Simple, upbeat, and the perfect gateway into Latin dancing. If you can walk, you can do this.

$12 for the class.

You don't need to leap a building to feel a little heroic. Some nights, walking onto a dance floor and actually dancing is enough. June 12 happens to be Superman Day, so we're leaning all the way into it.

Come dressed as your favorite hero or just come as you are, nobody's checking capes at the door. The party runs 8:00 to 9:30 at Bravo Dance Studio in Louisville, with a full mix of music: Waltz, Foxtrot, East Coast Swing, Salsa. It's best if you already know a few basics, since the party is for dancing, not learning. Light refreshments, open to everyone.

$12 per person. Come dance and feel a little invincible for a night.

Here's the thing nobody tells you about line dancing: it's the lowest-pressure way to learn to dance, period. No partner to find, no fancy footwork on day one, and no one watching to see if you slip up. You just line up and go.

We teach it twice a week at Bravo Dance Studio in Louisville, Mondays at 8:00 PM and Fridays at 7:00 PM. All levels are welcome, so whether you've never danced a step or you just want a fun reason to get out of the house, you're covered. The steps you learn carry straight over to weddings, parties, and any night out where a good song comes on.

Here's the good news for anyone dreading the first dance: it's one of the easiest parts of the wedding to get right, as long as you don't wait until the week before. We build the whole thing around your song, your comfort level, and the two of you, so it looks polished without feeling like a performance you have to survive.

We work with couples of every kind at Bravo Dance Studio in Louisville and Louisville Wedding Dance: bride and groom, bride and bride, groom and groom, every partnership welcome. Beyond the first dance, we also handle father-daughter and mother-son dances and choreographed numbers for the whole wedding party.

Most couples start a few months out. The sooner you begin, the more it feels like second nature on the day.

Anyone can learn the Nightclub Two-Step basic. Making it look smooth, unhurried, and genuinely good on the floor is a different skill, and that's what these three Sundays are for.

This is an intermediate/advanced mini-course at Bravo Dance Studio in Louisville. You'll work on cleaner turns, better timing, smoother transitions, and the kind of lead-and-follow that makes slow songs look easy. Some experience is needed, since we build on the basics rather than teach them. No partner required, though, because we rotate through the class.

Three Sundays, June 7, 14, and 21, at 5:30 PM. $36 for all three classes. By the end, the smooth stuff stops feeling like work.
