I wanted to share something very special with you. ❤️

Please consider joining us for Ten Taste Experience on October 11 at The Olmsted, honoring our dear friend, Chef Ellen Gill McCarty.

Apron Inc. meant so much to Ellen, and this evening will be a beautiful way to celebrate her, her incredible talent, her love of food and the many lives she touched throughout her remarkable journey.

The evening, “Dining with Ellen: A Tribute to Chef Ellen, The Gills & Science Hill Inn,” will feature recipes inspired by Mother Daughter Team Chef Donna Gill and Chef Ellen and the legacy she created through food, family and hospitality.

It would be so meaningful to have Ellen’s friends there to celebrate her together.

Ten Taste Experience benefiting Apron Inc.
Celebrating Chef Ellen Gill McCarty

It would mean so much to Chef Ellen to know that the love she poured into food, hospitality and people continues to bring us together.

On October 11, APRON Inc. will honor Ellen’s remarkable life and culinary legacy with the Ten Taste Experience — an evening celebrating ten tastes, amazing independent restaurant chefs and the incredible impact Ellen had on Louisville’s food community.

One of the most meaningful parts of the evening will be seeing amazing independent restaurant chefs put their own touch on recipes from “What I Like Best About Dining With The Gills,” bringing Ellen’s beloved food to the table in new and creative ways.

Ellen believed food was about so much more than what was on the plate. Her food was comfort food. It was about bringing people together, creating memories and making everyone feel welcome at the table.

What better way to honor Ellen than by gathering around the table, sharing food inspired by her recipes and celebrating the culinary legacy she left behind?

Tonight is the Big Green Egg Competition, and every year we'd talk about how you needed to enter. So today, we're counting on you to enter from Heaven—you and Donna will surely be chefing it up together!

We miss your friendship, your laughter, your incredible food, and the joy you brought to everyone around you.
