I was hesitant at first to hire anyone to help manage my wedding the day of, but the decision to hire Megan was one the best decisions and investments my husband and I made to date.

So you’re engaged… now what??

A lot of brides -to-be are one of two things. 1. Have either had their wedding planned in their head for as long as they can remember or if they haven’t they are fully ready and beyond excited to start planning! Or 2. They have no idea what they want, the idea of planning is overwhelming and they have no idea where to start.
No matter which kind of bride to be you are you should follow these 5 steps!

- CELEBRATE!! You just got engaged!! It’s okay to be in the moment and soak it all in before any planing needs to be done.
-Decide on your budget and guest count. The reason these two things kind of go hand in hand is because your guest count can greatly effect your budget and your budget is the number one thing you need when looking for vendors and venues
- Find a Venue and set a date! It’s nearly impossible to book anything else until you have a date and you can’t officially have a date if your dream venue is booked on the date you are wanting. So in some cases the venue determines the date.
- Book your vendors. There really isn’t any magical order in which you book your vendors. Some checklists and guides will tell you to book certain vendors by a certain date but that can very depending on a number of factors. I always tell my brides to prioritize the vendors that can only be there for one wedding on the day of. Examples of this are photographer, band and most importantly a Day of Coordinator that you trust! Vendors such a caterers and florist have the capacity to do multiple weddings in a day.
-Hammer out the details, make a time line and connect with you vendors. This is what I specialize in! 🤗
