FACILITY RENTAL RATES

The congregation of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church is pleased to share our beautiful space with others in the neighborhood. Our principle rental space is Moore Hall, which contains a large gathering space with tables, a full kitchen, restrooms, a nursery, classrooms, and a library which easily serves as a Bride’s Room. Our space is safe, private, clean, and fully wheelchair accessible.
Moore Hall Rental Rates
Moore Hall is our parish hall and includes a large room with capacity for 200 people, a full kitchen, bathrooms, a nursery, and classroom space. Everything is available with rental except the parish office space. Deposit and cleaning fee are additional (see last section for cleaning costs)
• Members of the public: $600 for up to three hours, $100 for each additional hour
• Non-profit organizations: $500 for up to three hours, $100 for each additional hour
• Contributing members: $300 for up to three hours, $50 for each additional hour.
Church Building Rental Rate
The church building may be rented in conjunction with a rental of Moore Hall if worship space is needed. All uses of the Church Building must be Christian services and MUST be approved by the parish Priest or Senior Warden if there is no permanent priest. Non-Christian services may be permitted with the permission of the Bishop, which the Priest may seek, and may take up to a month.
• Members of the public: $300
• Non-profit organizations: $250
• Contributing members: Voluntary donation appreciated.
Church Grounds & Gazebo
St. Peter’s has a beautiful memorial garden and gazebo which are ideal for wedding photos and grounds which are ideal for outdoor games and socializing.
• Use of the outdoor space is free with any building rental.
• There is a charge of $300 to erect a temporary tent or marquee, or to conduct an outdoor wedding.
• In order to reduce the risk of fire, grills may only be used in the parking lot at least 25 feet from the wooded area by the railroad.
Additional Information
Notes on church clergy officiating at weddings and funerals
The best person to preside at a wedding or funeral is a clergyperson who knows the family. The primary purpose of St. Peter’s clergy is to serve the needs of church members, and this may be extended to guests using our facilities in special circumstances. There is no charge for the Priest to perform the service but for people who are not members of the congregation there will be charges for time spent preparing for the service and pre-marital counseling. Clergy time is billed at $50/hr, with most services totaling $100-$500.
General Costs for All Rentals
• Refundable damage deposit: $200, due 30 days before the event. Money will be refunded within a month of the event date.
• A cleaning fee of $200 applies to all rentals.
Guidelines for All Church Rentals
• St. Peter’s does not have a liquor license. While alcohol is permitted in Moore Hall, the renter must obtain any necessary licenses to sell alcohol. Alcohol may be served without charge as long as the renter takes reasonable care to ensure only those over age 21 consume alcohol. Alcohol consumption must cease if anyone becomes drunk and disorderly.
• The primary purpose of the church is the worship of God in the community. As such the church is not available for rental on Sundays before 2 PM, on Christmas, Easter, or New Year’s Day, or on the week before Christmas and Easter.
• We encourage renters to decorate the facilities to best enjoy our space, and require that all decorations be removable and do no damage to the building.
• Any exceptions to these policies must be approved in advance by the Priest of the congregation, as well as the Vestry and Bishop if necessary.
